Review the nation's glorious history through a series of 'digital gifts' from Nhan Dan Newspaper

Through its activities, Nhan Dan Newspaper hopes to bring to the public an event that is both solemn and intimate, harmoniously combining historical values, cultural experiences and modern technology applications.

On August 29, towards the important anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Nhan Dan Newspaper introduced special publications and the interactive exhibition "80 years of glorious country - The Road to Independence."

Accordingly, the special issue 2/9 is structured into 5 main parts deployed along the history-present-future axis, reflecting the nation's journey of building and defending the country, affirming the immortal historical value of the August Revolution and National Day 2/9, summarizing the achievements of 80 years of nation building, and at the same time affirming the aspiration of Vietnam to reach the new era.

The publication is a harmonious combination of politics, history and humanities, combining cultural and artistic materials with valuable documentary images, creating a publication that is both valuable as a historical document and inspirational.

The special supplement 2/9 consists of two parts: The first part recreates the image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square and prints the entire Declaration of Independence - the immortal document affirming the independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people. The second part introduces 80 outstanding events in the past 80 years in the fields of politics , economics, society, foreign affairs, culture...

The art design was done by artist Kim Duan using hand-drawing techniques, combining political commentary with visual art, aiming to arouse national pride and foster patriotism in generations, especially the younger generation.

Notably, in this supplement, readers can find many “digital gifts” that take users “time-travel” back to the historic moment of September 2, exactly 80 years ago, including a virtual reality experience at Ba Dinh Square, a 3D model of the Independence Monument in augmented reality (AR) format that allows users to “check-in” with the monument in any space, and the experience of listening to the Declaration of Independence on Spotify and Tiktok.

Besides the two publications, Nhan Dan Newspaper also launched two special pages at the addresses quockhanh.nhandan.vn and congan.nhandan.vn .

In parallel with the publication, Nhan Dan Newspaper, in collaboration with Vietravel Hanoi, organized an interactive exhibition to bring the public closer to history through multi-sensory experiences. The event took place from August 29 to September 3 at Nhan Dan Newspaper headquarters, 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi, facing Hoan Kiem Lake.

At Independence Road, visitors will feel the revolutionary flow from 1930 to 1945 with 8 important milestones, illustrated with documentary images, 3D relief blocks, LED lights and VR360 technology.

The Independence Monument is a model of the Ba Dinh Square - where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, combined with a VR360 screen to let the public relive the heroic atmosphere of September 2, 1945.

The exhibition cluster "80 years of glorious country" systematizes the milestones from 1930 to 2025, from the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam to the aspiration of national development in the mid-21st century.

Nhan Dan Newspaper will distribute the special supplement September 2 for free at Nhan Dan Newspaper's editorial office at 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi from the afternoon of August 29 to September 3, the Central representative office at 2 Tran Quy Cap, Da Nang, and the Southern representative office at 40 Pham Ngoc Thach, Ho Chi Minh City. Distribution time is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from August 30 to September 3.
