The Tax Department has just issued Decision No. 1378/QD-CT regulating the names, headquarters, and management areas of 350 tax establishments under the tax authority of provinces and centrally run cities, effective from July 1.
Accordingly, from today, July 1, the Tax Department of Region II has officially changed its name to Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department with 29 tax offices under its management in the area, including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province and the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
In which, base tax from 1 - 20 is for the former management of Ho Chi Minh City area, base tax from 21 - 24 is for the former management of Ba Ria - Vung Tau area, and base tax from 25 - 29 is for the former management of Binh Duong area.
Along with the name change, the tax authority also changed the way the leadership titles are called from the head and deputy head of the Tax Department of Region II to the head and deputy head of Ho Chi Minh City Tax.
The Tax Department also appointed the new head of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Mr. Doan Minh Dung.
Mr. Doan Minh Dung was born in 1978, has more than 20 years of experience working in the tax industry, has held many positions at the Hai Phong City Tax Department and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Tax Department.
Before being appointed as the Head of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Mr. Doan Minh Dung held the position of Head of the Tax Department of Region XV, including 4 provinces: Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
In addition to the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Tax, Ho Chi Minh City Tax currently has 9 deputy directors of tax: Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Mr. Phan Van Dung, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Mr. Thai Minh Giao, Mr. Tran Hiep Hung, Mr. Giang Van Hien and Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong.
It is not required to adjust the information on the business registration certificate.
The Tax Department of Region II (HCMC) has also just issued a notice on updating taxpayer addresses to match the new administrative area.
In the announcement, the Tax Department of Region II (HCMC) said that the tax authority has completed updating taxpayer address information on the database system, based on the new administrative area list.
This change does not require taxpayers to adjust the information on their business registration certificates.
In case the address stated on the invoice is the address that has been updated by the tax authority according to the new list, but does not match the address on the business registration certificate, the taxpayer can use this notice as a basis for explanation to the relevant authority or partners and customers.
If there is a need to update information on the business registration certificate, taxpayers must carry out procedures as prescribed at the business registration agency.
