The 15th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030 with the theme "Promoting the tradition of discipline and unity, building a strong and comprehensive trade union organization; contributing to making Quang Ninh province soon become a centrally-run city", the Congress had the participation of 250 official delegates representing more than 110,000 union members, workers and laborers in the whole province.
At the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province Bui Van Khang acknowledged, highly appreciated and congratulated the results that the Trade Unions at all levels of Quang Ninh province have achieved in the past time.
Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Quang Ninh province requested that all levels of the Quang Ninh provincial Trade Union continue to strongly, substantially and effectively innovate the organization and activities of the trade union; build a comprehensively strong Quang Ninh Trade Union to meet new requirements; promote the role of representing and protecting the rights of workers, especially in industrial parks, economic zones and non-state enterprises.
In particular, focusing on building a team of professional union officials with good qualities, capacity and prestige; innovating the content and methods of operation; focusing on the grassroots; listening to and promptly resolving workers' suggestions; proactively grasping the situation of labor relations, ensuring security among workers early, from the grassroots;...
In particular, the trade union needs to persistently propose policies on wages, training and retraining; build a safe working environment; ensure welfare; develop cultural institutions, housing, and social services for workers; promote urban integration for migrant workers; create an environment for workers to have jobs, stable income, and access to essential services such as education , health care, clean water, and housing. At the same time, improve the quality of emulation movements and campaigns appropriate to each field and locality.
According to the Congress report, during the past term, the trade union organization innovated in structure, content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots and workers; effectively implemented projects on organization and apparatus arrangement and streamlining, Project "Developing labor relations in Quang Ninh province",... Propaganda and mobilization work has been flexibly and creatively innovated, suitable to the conditions of each stage, creating a spread among union members, workers and the community.
In addition to the achieved results, the Congress also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations and discussed and shared lessons learned in the practical implementation of the labor movement and trade union activities in Quang Ninh province. From there, the Congress proposed 14 targets, 3 breakthroughs, 9 groups of tasks and solutions.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Confederation for the 15th term, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 29 members. Mr. To Xuan Thao was re-elected as Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Confederation for the 15th term, 2025 - 2030. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, including 11 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
