The Oppo Find N5 is currently the world's thinnest foldable smartphone, measuring just 4.21 mm thick when unfolded, significantly surpassing its competitors.

In fact, Oppo's phone will be a formidable competitor to many other leading foldable smartphones, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Honor Magic V3, and especially Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Design

The Oppo Find N5 impresses with its ultra-slim design, measuring only 8.93 mm thick when folded and 4.21 mm when unfolded. Weighing just 229 grams, it's one of the lightest foldable smartphones on the market. The Oppo Find N5 features a circular camera module and Armour Shield protective glass, combined with a sturdy aluminum alloy frame. This phone also boasts impressive IPX8 and IPX9 water and dust resistance ratings. When folded, the Oppo Find N5 offers a comfortable user experience, almost like a regular bar phone.

In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a thicker design, measuring 5.6 mm when unfolded and 12.1 mm when folded, while weighing 239 grams. This Samsung product is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and meets the IP48 dust and water resistance standard.

Screen

The Oppo Find N5 features a 6.62-inch LTPO3 OLED display on the back with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of up to 2,450 nits. The main 8.12-inch LTPO3 OLED display also has a similar refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,100 nits. This combination allows the Find N5 to be comfortably used in bright sunlight.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a 7.6-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X main display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 6.3-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display on the back. Both have a maximum brightness of up to 2,600 nits.

Notably, the Find N5's screen excels at minimizing creases on the foldable display, with less indentation compared to its competitor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This creates a much more engaging experience when unfolded and used as a miniature tablet with its 8.12-inch screen.

Camera

The Oppo Find N5 is equipped with a triple main camera system from Hasselblad, including a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Additionally, the phone has an 8 MP selfie camera on the outer screen and another 8 MP camera on the inner screen.

Performance and battery

The Oppo Find N5 is equipped with Qualcomm's most powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip currently available, combined with an Adreno 830 GPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 only uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of internal storage, resulting in somewhat weaker performance compared to its competitor.
