Désiré Doué shined with the only goal, bringing complete joy right at the Parc des Princes stadium.

This victory helps coach Luis Enrique's team officially win the Ligue 1 championship for the 2024-2025 season.

After 28 rounds, PSG won 74 points, 24 points ahead of second-placed Monaco, with only 6 more rounds left to end the season.

This is also the 13th time in history that Paris Saint-Germain has reached the pinnacle of honor in France's highest arena.

Notably, this is the 4th consecutive title that PSG has won and the 11th time this team has lifted the championship since the Qatari owners (since 2012).

The Ligue 1 title will give PSG more motivation to aim for the "treble", as they have reached the French Cup final and the quarter-finals of the 2024-2025 Champions League.

After winning the Ligue 1 title, PSG will have 5 days to prepare for the important match with Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals taking place in the early morning of April 10.

In the National Cup, coach Enrique's team will face Reims on May 24.

Mats Hummels will officially end his career after the 2024-2025 season ends.

"My emotions are mixed at the moment. It's a moment that no player can avoid. After more than 18 years of playing, football has given me a lot. I will end my career this summer," Hummels shared on his personal page.

"I know this journey is important for me. It's been amazing to experience it. To get to where you are today, you need the right coaches, the right timing, good form and reliable teammates."

Hummels grew up in the Bayern Munich training academy. He made his name when he decided to move to Dortmund in 2008 and became a mainstay of this team.

In 2016, Hummels returned to Bayern Munich, but in 2019 he returned to the Signal Iduna Park team.

In 2014, the player moved to play for AS Roma. Hummels' contract with Roma will expire in the summer of 2025 but the two sides have shown no signs of continuing to extend it.

During his career, at club level, Hummels won 5 Bundesliga titles, 3 German Cups and 6 German Super Cups.

The 36-year-old centre-back has also reached the Champions League final twice but finished as runners-up in the 2012/13 and 2023/24 seasons.

In the German national team, Hummels had 78 appearances and won the 2014 World Cup with the national team.
