According to statistics from the Vietnam Military History Museum, on November 10, about 40,000 tourists visited the museum.

Notably, besides meaningful images such as veterans and their comrades coming to the museum to reminisce or young people coming to learn about the thousand-year history of the nation, there are many offensive moments that cause discomfort and anger.

Carefree climbing on artifacts to take pictures

According to Tuoi Tre Online , on November 10, it was not difficult to see images of adults and children climbing onto tanks, planes, guns, cannons... both outside and inside the museum to take pictures.

Instead of warning and reminding their children not to play or climb on the exhibits, some parents “support” this action. Some even carry and let their children sit and walk on the simulated sand table displayed in the museum.

Due to the strong impact of visitors' lack of awareness, some war relics have collapsed and nameplates have been broken...

Also according to the record, although museum staff continuously used loudspeakers to remind visitors not to touch or climb on the artifacts, they could not stop the "curious crowd".

“Artifacts such as tanks and cannons are displayed in open spaces, without ropes, and with signs saying “no climbing, holding, or leaning on artifacts,” but many children and parents still climb, sit, and hang on them to take pictures.

I even saw people drying clothes in the lobby, the waiting area was full of customers sitting and eating," said Ms. Le Thi Yen (residing in Hoang Mai, Hanoi ).

According to Mr. Phan Hong Quan (from Vinh Yen City, Vinh Phuc ), when he reminded his children not to climb on artifacts, some parents showed a defiant attitude.

“Some elderly people seemed to bring their grandchildren here to play. When I reminded them, they glared at me. I was really upset about their attitude,” Mr. Quan said.

The artifacts will be more strictly protected.

Informing Tuoi Tre Online , professional military lieutenant colonel Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, head of the museum's propaganda and education department, said that after opening to welcome visitors, in recent days, the museum has held meetings, evaluated and developed plans to best ensure the work of guiding propaganda and preserving artifacts in the coming time.

“The new museum displays many artifacts with many different themes in a large area, not as small as the old address, so guidance and preservation work will encounter some difficulties in the beginning.

In the coming time, we will increase the arrangement of human resources in all areas of the museum, to serve the people and tourists in the best way," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Lan Huong informed.

In recent days, the number of people visiting the Vietnam Military History Museum has increased dramatically, especially on weekends. Therefore, it is inevitable that many visitors do not comply with the general regulations of the museum.

In the coming time, displayed artifacts, especially national treasures, will be stored, preserved and protected more strictly to avoid unwanted situations from happening.

Also according to professional military lieutenant colonel Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, after a trial opening period, the museum has decided to open its doors to welcome visitors during noon to serve the people as much as possible, especially those from far away.

Accordingly, the museum will open from 8:30 to 16:30 every day (except Monday and Friday). Therefore, people and tourists from far away can arrange their time to visit the museum reasonably, not having to rush at the same time of day.

Avoid traffic jams and jostling while visiting the museum.

Also according to information from the museum, after the free admission period ends, the expected ticket price for adults is 40,000 VND; the elderly, students and pupils is 20,000 VND; soldiers and veterans will be free.
