Temporary traffic diversion on provincial road 258

At around 3:00 p.m. on October 3, at Km14+600 of DT.258 road, at the beginning of Tru bridge, Ban Tru village, Thuong Minh commune, a landslide occurred with a large volume of rocks and soil, causing local traffic congestion. Immediately after that, functional units and local authorities organized temporary traffic diversion and at the same time carried out repairs to ensure traffic safety.

According to records, at the above location, a large amount of rock and soil has collapsed, burying the entire roadbed and surface along with the longitudinal ditch system, stretching about 70m. Currently, the road management unit is carrying out construction to clear rock and soil; install barriers, put up warning signs and deploy traffic diversion.

The travel plan is adjusted as follows: Motorbikes, cars, rudimentary vehicles and trucks under 10 tons will go around the old DT.258 route, through Pu Mat market, circulate normally and return to the main road at Km14+810. Vehicles with a load capacity of over 10 tons, container trucks circulate along National Highway 3 and National Highway 279, going from Phu Thong commune to Na Phac commune to National Highway 279 to Cho Ra commune, ensuring two-way travel.

The road closure and traffic diversion will be in effect from October 1 until the landslide is repaired and a new announcement is made by the authorities and local governments. Authorities advise residents and drivers to follow instructions and ensure safety while traveling.
