Responding to Decision No. 1079/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2022 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on communication on human rights in Vietnam, and at the same time celebrating the country's major holidays in 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television organized the annual award on communication on human rights called: "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025".
At the launching ceremony, there was the participation of Mr. Le Hai Binh - Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In 2025, Vietnam will make significant progress in the happiness index, ranking 46th in the world , up 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023. This is a positive recognition from the international community of Vietnam's correct policies and outstanding achievements in ensuring human rights.
The “Happy Vietnam 2025” Award aims to encourage the widespread participation of people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends through creating photos, videos or expressing creative ideas to tell meaningful stories about a happy Vietnam. The entries will contribute to spreading a positive image of the people and country of Vietnam, from cultural traditions, history to socio-economic development achievements, in order to enhance the country's prestige and position in the international arena.
The Organizing Committee wishes to convey the message of a Vietnam that is transforming strongly and developing comprehensively in many fields: From scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and national digital transformation; international integration in the new context; to innovation in law making and enforcement as well as developing the private economy in a fast, sustainable, effective and high-quality direction.
All citizens aged 15 and over, regardless of nationality, whether professional or amateur, can submit works to the contest. The Organizing Committee will select works according to clear criteria specified in the award rules. Works will be judged fairly and objectively by two panels of judges: the Preliminary Judging Panel and the Final Judging Panel, consisting of leading experts, journalists, photographers and film artists.
Each category (photo and video) has prizes including 1 First Prize worth 50,000,000 VND, 2 Second Prizes worth 30,000,000 VND, 3 Third Prizes worth 15,000,000 VND, and 10 Encouragement Prizes worth 5,000,000 VND. Along with that, there will be 1 Most Voted Work prize with a prize value of 5,000,000 VND.
The Organizing Committee encourages and will award 1 creative prize in each category (photo and video) worth 20,000,000 VND for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression. In addition, the Organizing Committee will award monthly prizes including First, Second, Third Prizes for the works with the highest votes of the month in each category.
“Happy Vietnam 2025” is not only an art competition, but also a vivid demonstration of the innovation achievements and true happiness of the Vietnamese people today.
