Launching the Contest to create logos and slogans for tourism in Cao Bang province

On the afternoon of July 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a celebration of the 64th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Traditional Day (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2024); launched the Contest to create logos and slogans for tourism in Cao Bang province.

On July 9, 1960, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong signed a decision to establish the Vietnam Tourism Company (a unit under the Ministry of Foreign Trade at that time). Since then, July 9 has been chosen as the traditional day of the Vietnam tourism industry.

In recent years, tourism in our province has had encouraging developments, contributing to the increasingly clear improvement of socio -economic efficiency. The whole province has over 300 tourist accommodation establishments with over 3,100 rooms, 6,500 workers working in the tourism industry. State management of tourism has been strengthened and enhanced. In 2000, the number of tourists was only over 10,000, by 2023 it reached over 1,900,000. Tourism revenue in 2010 reached 49.2 billion VND, in 2023 it reached 1,334 billion VND, an increase of 27 times...

In the first 6 months of 2024, the total number of tourists reached 1 million, an increase of nearly 11% over the same period. Cao Bang was ranked in the top 10 friendliest destinations in Vietnam in 2024 by online booking platform Booking.com. Ban Gioc Waterfall is the only representative of Vietnam to be voted by the International Travel Magazine as one of the 21 most beautiful waterfalls in the world. This is a sign that Cao Bang tourism is developing strongly, creating excitement and confidence that the industry will achieve the set goals for the period 2021 - 2025; at the same time, affirming that Cao Bang Non Nuoc tourism deserves to be a safe, friendly and attractive destination.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched a competition to design a logo and slogan for tourism in Cao Bang province. Accordingly, the logo must reflect the typical features and identity of the province's tourist destination, be memorable, recognizable, impressive and different.

The slogan needs to be concise, fresh, and convey beautiful impressions of Cao Bang culture, history, nature and people (no more than 8 words long). Contestants are all Vietnamese citizens. The prize structure, each category includes 10 prizes, the first prize for logo is 50 million VND, the first prize for slogan is 15 million VND. The deadline for receiving products is November 15, 2024.
