Talking about the purpose and meaning of the contest, writer, journalist Hoang Du, Editor-in-Chief of Literature and Arts Times - Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the contest aims to find young talents in the field of character design, at the same time, develop an intellectual property (IP) ecosystem bearing the mark of Vietnamese culture.
This is a professional playground for young people who love design, creativity and the art of visual storytelling.
The contest was developed by creative unit NemoNemi with character ideas and professionally implemented by V-Art with the desire to find unique designs with commercial potential and expand into a native character ecosystem that can be applied in many fields such as: cultural products, souvenirs, cartoons, comics...
Sharing about the meaning of the contest, NemoNemi Founder Julia Hoang said that the contest revolves around two main characters, Kokomo and Momimi - symbols of two opposite worlds : rich and common, innocent and smart, but bound by sincere friendship. Contestants will design characters based on the available storyline about the origin, personality and relationship between the two characters.
The contest is open to individuals and creative teams (up to 3 people) aged 16-35, regardless of nationality or expertise. Entries include illustration, personality description, character story and short story. Contestants are encouraged to create additional supporting characters, age factors and details to expand on the IP.

2 Outstanding Idea Awards and Top 10 Outstanding Entries Honored.
The total prize value is up to 30 million VND. The author who wins the highest prize will sign an IP development contract with NemoNemi.

At the same time, it will help these works have the opportunity to be transformed into creative cultural products to enter the market, both maintaining the core artistic values and reaching a wide audience, especially the youth.

The award ceremony and exhibition of outstanding works are scheduled to be held on August 5 at V-Art art space, with the participation of creative experts, illustrators and media representatives.
