DTO - On the morning of April 21, at the Dong Thap Trade Union Labor Culture House (Ward 1, Cao Lanh City), the Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony to respond to the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month (OSH) and Workers' Month 2025. Attending were comrade Nguyen Van Vu Minh - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Home Affairs; representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL), the direct superior Trade Union at the grassroots level, and 500 cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members (DV), and workers (NLĐ).

According to the Department of Home Affairs, in recent times, occupational safety and health work has been promoted by all levels, sectors, agencies, units, enterprises and all workers with many activities such as: assessing, identifying risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace, minimizing occupational safety and health loss. In addition, regularly organizing activities to care for workers, contributing to stabilizing life and reducing difficulties for workers. However, occupational safety and health loss still occurs. In 2024, the whole province had 7 occupational accidents, causing 6 deaths and damage of over 2 billion VND. Occupational Safety and Health Month and Workers' Month in 2025 are implemented with the goal of continuing to minimize and prevent occupational safety and health loss, improving the lives of workers.
The Occupational Safety and Health Action Month and Workers' Month 2025 take place from May 1 to 31, 2025. Departments, branches, localities, enterprises, and production establishments in the province will strengthen propaganda, education, and dissemination of knowledge and laws on occupational safety and health; inspect and examine compliance with legal regulations on occupational safety and health; guide units and enterprises to review and implement occupational safety and health work; coordinate investigations of occupational accidents... Trade unions at all levels in the province will coordinate with Party committees, authorities at the same level, and employers to organize meetings and dialogues to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances...

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Vu Minh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs requested departments, branches, socio-political organizations, localities, enterprises, and employers in the province to focus on implementing the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Program, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and guiding documents. At the same time, he requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to direct grassroots trade unions to coordinate with enterprises to strengthen dissemination and improve knowledge of occupational safety and health laws, measures to prevent occupational accidents and diseases for employers and employees; assess, identify risks and proactively take measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace; take care of and promptly implement policies and regimes to ensure the rights of employees. Employees need to voluntarily comply with the provisions of the law on occupational safety and health; regulations, internal rules, procedures, and technical safety standards during the labor and production process.
Responding to the Month of Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month 2025, on the morning of the same day (April 21), the working delegation of the Provincial Federation of Labor led by Comrade Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Provincial Party Committee member, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented gifts to union members of the grassroots unions in Cao Lanh City who are in difficult circumstances, have suffered from work-related accidents and serious illnesses. The delegation was also joined by representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Cao Lanh City Federation of Labor.

Accordingly, the Delegation visited Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy (born in 1969, residing in My Phuoc Hamlet, Ward 3, Cao Lanh City) - Member of the Trade Union of Dong Thap Urban Water Supply and Environment Joint Stock Company; Ms. Le Thi Dep (born in 1959, residing in Dong Binh Hamlet, Hoa An Commune, Cao Lanh City) - Member of the Trade Union of Thong Linh Secondary School; Mr. Phan Viet Nhien (born in 1966, residing in Ward 6, Cao Lanh City) - Member of the Trade Union of DFC Dong Thap Petroleum Services Joint Stock Company. At each destination, Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui and members of the Delegation kindly visited and shared difficulties with the Union members who had occupational accidents, suffered from serious illnesses and encouraged them to try to maintain their health, continue to strive to stabilize their lives; at the same time, each Union member received a gift worth 1 million VND from the financial resources of the Provincial Trade Union. This is an activity showing the concern of the Trade Union for members and employees in difficult circumstances, thereby sharing some of the difficulties with members and employees.
