Humanitarian Month is an important event that has been implemented nationwide since 2021, with profound meaning and impact on society. In Quang Tri , over the years, the Provincial Red Cross Society has continuously improved the effectiveness of its operations, bringing humanitarian programs closer to the disadvantaged and those affected by epidemics and natural disasters.
Thereby supporting over 100,000 disadvantaged people with a total value of gifts and cash of over 40 billion VND. In 2025, Quang Tri is one of 3 localities selected to organize the National Humanitarian Month.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien emphasized that the Humanitarian Month 2025 held in Quang Tri is an opportunity to connect domestic and foreign resources, towards the land that still suffers many disadvantages.
At the same time, we believe that with the cooperation of the community, Humanitarian Month will be a journey connecting millions of hearts, spreading love to every family, every difficult life. Quang Tri province will continue to be a symbol of solidarity and compassion, where love and responsibility are always put first.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all levels of government, organizations, businesses and people to actively participate and accompany volunteer and charitable activities so that the Humanitarian Month can be successfully implemented.

Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Nguyen Hai Anh also affirmed that the theme of Humanitarian Month 2025: "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" is not just a slogan, it is a lasting commitment to sharing, to the spirit of leaving no one behind. Each activity is not simply temporary assistance but must aim for sustainable development, associated with building an adaptive and inclusive community.

At the launching ceremony, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Red Cross Societies of provinces and cities, organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province mobilized and committed to support the Humanitarian Month activities in 2025 in Quang Tri province with a total value of nearly 8 billion VND.
The Organizing Committee also presented livelihood models to 25 disadvantaged households; awarded 25 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to disadvantaged students who have excelled in their studies; awarded 120 water filters and 10 water purifiers to disadvantaged households; and awarded 115 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties.
In particular, 400 families in difficult circumstances in the province were given vouchers by the organizers to participate in free shopping for essential goods at the 0-dong market with a quota of 500,000 VND/person.
