In order to contribute to widely disseminating the great historical significance and the great victory of the Spring of 1975, on the morning of April 27, 2025, at the Headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Vietnam Post Corporation solemnly held a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)".

The stamp set includes 2 stamps and 1 block, officially issued from April 27, 2025, with the following dimensions: Stamp: 32 x 43 mm; Block: 70 x 100 mm; FDC (first day of issue packaging): 210 x 120 mm with face value of: 4,000 VND, 15,000 VND and 15,000 VND with three designs carrying meaningful messages:

Mẫu tem 2-1: "Giải phóng miền Nam, thống nhất đất nước".
Stamp sample 2-1: "Liberating the South, reunifying the country".
Mẫu tem 2-2: "Nam Bắc một nhà, non sông liền dải"
Stamp sample 2-2: "North and South are one family, the country is connected"
Mẫu blốc: "Như có Bác Hồ trong ngày vui đại thắng"
Block template: "As if Uncle Ho was there on the day of great victory"

The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation), a face that has left its mark with many works of great artistic value and historical depth.

Using three main colors: red, yellow and blue, these are not only colors symbolizing the desire for victory and peace , but also the colors of the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and the spirit of unified Vietnam.

The visual language of the stamp set is strong, concise, and focused with neat, highly symbolic shapes that are generalized, fully reflecting the seething spirit of the day the country was reunited. On each stamp, viewers can feel the harmony between heroic reality and humanistic spirit - from the symbol of the Independence Palace, the image of the Liberation soldier to the image of the red flag with a yellow star fluttering on the day of total victory.

On April 30, 1975, the flag of the Liberation Army flying over the roof of the Independence Palace was deeply engraved in the hearts of the nation as a shining symbol of the intelligence, bravery and revolutionary heroism of Vietnam. It was not only the end of the long resistance war, but also the beginning of an era of independence, unity and development.

In that flow of memories, each stamp issued today is not simply a postal product, but a living testament, connecting the past with the present, arousing patriotism and national pride in every Vietnamese person.

Each stamp is a profound reminder of the sacrifices, struggles and aspirations for peace of many generations. This special issue not only has postal significance, but is also an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to once again contemplate the nation's history through small but sacred frames.
