Mysterious intact burial chamber of ancient Egyptian priestess discovered
Archaeologists were stunned to discover the lavish burial chamber of the priestess Idy, who worshiped the goddess Hathor – a symbol of eternal power and beauty.

While excavating the Asyut cemetery in Egypt, experts from the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities unexpectedly unearthed a magnificent burial chamber, estimated to date back to around 1,880 BC. Her tomb is located in a chamber sealed by stone walls. Although the burial chamber was ransacked by robbers in ancient times, most of Idy’s burial objects remained intact.
