To date, Dam Rong district has 35 cooperatives operating in various fields, including 28 agricultural and forestry cooperatives, 4 industrial processing and manufacturing cooperatives, 2 commercial cooperatives and 1 transport cooperative. In the period of 2021 - 2025, Dam Rong district mobilized nearly 1.3 billion VND to support investment in infrastructure for processing products of cooperatives and cooperative groups (THT). Specifically, including 424 million VND from the central budget, 211 million VND from the provincial budget and 642 million VND from counterpart funds of cooperatives and THT.
In 2024 alone, also from the budget, Dam Rong district will support more than 284 million VND for Maca Da Mia Phuong Nam Cooperative (Da K'nang commune) and Durian Cooperative (Lieng S'rong commune) with modern technology for agricultural production. And in 2025, support 140 million VND for Dam Rong Durian High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative (Da Tong commune) to improve production and business efficiency.
In addition, every year, Dam Rong district also builds, transfers and replicates high-tech production models, improves productivity, quality, and increases income per unit of production land area of the cooperative. At the output stage, Dam Rong district has organized cooperatives to participate in fairs in and outside the province to promote product brands, connect trade, and expand markets.
However, due to lack of investment capital, limited management capacity and skills, small-scale production and business development, lack of initiative in finding product consumption markets; weak linkages between cooperatives and other economic forms. While some cooperatives have physical facilities and business conditions, have been established for a long time, but have not yet come up with effective production plans, and have not developed commensurate with their potential and available resources...
To overcome the limitations mentioned above, the cooperative economic sector in Dam Rong district needs to rely mainly on internal resources, especially strengthening training and professional development for cooperative management staff.
