Emphasizing the importance of the documents submitted to the Party Congress, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the Conference is not only an activity to contribute opinions on documents, but also a political forum to promote the intelligence, courage, responsibility and trust of cadres, union members, workers, the Vietnamese working class, and trade union organizations in the work of Party building.
“Getting opinions and synthesizing opinions from cadres, union members, and workers is also for “People know - people discuss - people do - people check - people supervise - people benefit”, which is the flesh-and-blood bond between the Party and the people, between the Party and the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization”, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong shared.
At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, said she paid special attention to social security policies, especially in the fields of education and social housing, because these are issues that directly affect the lives and social security of workers.
According to Ms. Loan, the draft document assesses the quality of education and training, especially education on qualities, personality and career, which is still improving slowly. However, what many workers are currently concerned about is that at each level of education, it is necessary to clearly identify which subjects are basic and which are foundational, in order to provide more specific directions for education. From the reality of contacting voters and workers at the grassroots level, Ms. Loan said that many workers, especially migrant workers, often express concerns about their children's education.
Giving her opinion on building the working class in the new era, Ms. Loan said that the Vietnamese working class needs to be strongly developed in both quantity and quality, with a strong political stance, deep class awareness, national pride and high skills. Building a modern and strong working class is not only a key task in developing productive forces but also firmly ensuring the path of development in the direction of socialism. Vietnamese workers today must be the pioneering force in industrialization, digital transformation and international integration.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Pham Thi Quyen, Vice President of the Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, suggested that the document should emphasize the need to raise political awareness for workers, especially in the current economic context, with new social organization models emerging in enterprises. In addition, Ms. Quyen also said that socio-economic development must also be linked to better care for workers; so that workers' lives can become better and better; at the same time, it is necessary to harmonize the interests between workers and employers to ensure social justice.
Having been involved in Trade Union activities for many years, Ms. Chau Hong Nhi, Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, expressed her concern about labor and employment issues, unemployment and issues that directly affect the lives of workers.
According to Ms. Nhi, the current situation of counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods is a very hot issue; counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods have been and are directly affecting the lives of workers. The 14th Congress documents need to include this content to have a radical solution in effectively preventing counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods, contributing to stabilizing the lives of workers for the better.
Commenting at the conference, most delegates highly appreciated the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party as the crystallization of the wisdom, enthusiasm and strategic vision of the entire Party, people and army. The documents deeply inherited the achievements of nearly 40 years of renovation, while opening up development directions beyond reach, towards a strong, prosperous and happy Vietnam by 2045. In particular, the draft documents this time have many important contents directly related to the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
