Long Thanh Airport needs to recruit thousands of workers
Long Thanh Airport is planned to reach level 4F, according to the classification of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The port's scale and capacity after completing all 3 phases is 100 million passengers/year and 5 million tons of cargo/year. In phase 1, the project is investing in the construction of 2 runways, 1 passenger terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers/year, 1 cargo terminal with a capacity of 550 thousand tons of cargo/year and synchronous auxiliary items. Currently, the project is in the final construction phase to basically complete the infrastructure by the end of 2025.
Long Thanh International Airport is urgently preparing the conditions to put into operation phase 1 at the end of 2025. The recruitment of workers for current job positions is extremely urgent. Recruited workers will have the opportunity to access a very "hot" profession today, and have the opportunity to be exposed to many cultures. After recruitment, we will organize in-depth training and coaching to continuously improve professional qualifications and skills, thereby contributing to building a team of professional, high-quality workers, making Long Thanh Airport operate effectively from the first days of opening.

Long Thanh Airport has a vision to become one of the international air transit hubs in the region, meeting the standards of a green, smart airport with integrated biometric and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies; at the same time, building competitiveness with international airports in the region. Therefore, human resources are one of the key factors. According to forecasts, when phase 1 comes into operation, Long Thanh Airport will need more than 13,700 workers in many different positions, from ground services to administration and commerce.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, Head of the Long Thanh Airport Operation Preparation Board, said: The airport is completely new. Therefore, the construction of the items as well as the preparation of human resources for future management and operation are determined to play a very important role. Therefore, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) in coordination with relevant organizations and units has organized many events and activities to promote information, introduce, attract and recruit human resources to serve the airport's operations. We hope that the human resources recruited here will meet the requirements of ensuring standards of youth, dynamism, enthusiasm, high professional capacity, and the ability to grasp and master new and advanced technologies in the world , helping Long Thanh Airport to operate and exploit effectively.
One of the events that attracted the attention of many workers, especially new graduates, was the "Job Fair - Long Thanh International Airport" organized by ACV in coordination with agencies, units and localities at 3A Park, An Phuoc Commune on August 23, 2025. Here, thousands of candidates consulted the job market and submitted their applications.
Mr. Tran Bao Toan (residing in Long Hung commune, Dong Nai province) said: “I graduated from a mechanical college and am studying logistics at the college level. I am working in a warehouse position, as a warehouse keeper of a company. I applied and hope to find a job at the Long Thanh Airport warehouse, because I want a higher salary.”
Requirement of high quality human resources
In order to recruit human resources suitable for job positions for its unit at Long Thanh Airport, Vietnam Airports Corporation needs to recruit 1,400 employees in the following positions: operation engineer, maintenance, electronic engineer, mechanic, automation. In addition, airlines and ground service units also need to recruit thousands of workers in many different fields.
Mr. Dinh Quoc Long, Human Resources Director of VietJet Air, said: “At Long Thanh Airport, we are in need of recruiting positions related to technical staff. We have just started construction of VietJet's maintenance facility at Long Thanh Airport. In addition, for the transfer of future flights to Long Thanh, we also need many positions for ground service such as: passenger service, maintenance, ground equipment operation, baggage handling... We have posted recruitment information on VietJet's websites, social networking sites and are ready to welcome all interested candidates.”
Ms. Le Thi Hoang Oanh, Deputy General Director of Saigon Ground Services Joint Stock Company said: “Working in an international environment, we really need the ability to communicate fluently in English. A very high requirement for human resources working in the aviation industry is to be able to withstand work pressure, to keep the flame of love for the job, to overcome challenges.
I have just graduated from the Information Technology Department of the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. I would like to be recruited as an IT specialist at Long Thanh Airport, because this is a job that is suitable for my major. I wish to become a member of the Vietnamese aviation industry and have a high and stable income.
