- In recent years, many cooperatives in the province have promoted the application of technology and carried out digital transformation to improve production and business efficiency.
Currently, there are 466 cooperatives operating in the province. In recent years, many cooperatives have made efforts and proactively implemented solutions to develop, typically promoting the application of technology and digital transformation in production and business activities.
Established in late 2020, the Vy Silk Agricultural Products Processing Cooperative, Quan Son Commune, Chi Lang District, operates mainly in the field of production and trading of teas such as fish mint, black tea, wild guava... Ms. Vi Thi Lua, Director of the Cooperative, said: At the beginning of its operation, the Cooperative was affected by natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with that reality, the Cooperative has proactively researched and applied technology to organize promotion, introduction, and consumption of the Cooperative's products on e-commerce platforms, social networking platforms such as tiktok, zalo, facebook, youtube... helping consumers to see the production and trading process of the Cooperative's tea products and gradually trust in using the unit's products. Thanks to that, the Cooperative's production and business activities have gradually stabilized. In 2024, the Cooperative's revenue will reach about 2 billion VND, an increase of 1.6 billion VND compared to 2021; The cooperative creates jobs for 4 regular workers with an income of 7.5 million VND/person/month and 20 seasonal workers.
Similarly, the Trang Dinh Copyright Agricultural and Forestry Products Production and Service Cooperative (De Tham Commune, Trang Dinh District) has also applied technology and digital transformation to its business activities. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Lan, Director of the Cooperative, said: The Cooperative was established in 2021 with the main products of the Cooperative being tea, medicinal pillows, foot bath salts, etc. When first introduced to the market, these products were quite new to many consumers, so the Cooperative proactively put the products on e-commerce platforms, built promotional channels on social networking platforms, etc. By applying technology and digital transformation, the Cooperative has contributed to gradually improving production and business efficiency. In 2024, the Cooperative's revenue will reach 2.5 billion VND, an increase of 2 billion VND compared to 2022; the Cooperative will create jobs for 25 members and workers with an average income of 8 million VND/person/month.
In addition to the two cooperatives mentioned above, in recent years, about 40% of cooperatives operating in the province have applied digital transformation to some stages of production and business. Most cooperatives apply digital transformation in the stages of promoting, introducing, and consuming products on digital platforms; some cooperatives have applied digital transformation in the stage of accounting and partly in the stage of production...
Along with the initiative of cooperatives, relevant levels and sectors have implemented solutions to accompany and support cooperatives in digital transformation. Mr. Lieu Xuan Du, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, said: To assess the current situation and propose solutions to support cooperatives, in 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized a survey on the level of digital transformation and the ability to access e-commerce applications of cooperatives and cooperative members. The results showed that 73% of cooperatives and members were ready to access and participate in the process of digital transformation and e-commerce; 53% of cooperatives have computers connected to the internet...
From 2024 to present, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has coordinated with the Institute of Science, Technology and Environment (under the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance) to organize 5 training courses for 260 members of cooperatives and cooperative groups on contents related to digital transformation and solutions for applying digital transformation to production and business activities. In addition, from 2022 to present, on average each year, relevant levels and sectors have organized 5-6 training courses related to cooperative economic development, including contents related to digital transformation and e-commerce.
The initiative of cooperatives and the attention and support of relevant levels and sectors have helped cooperatives gradually approach and apply digital transformation to improve production and business efficiency. In 2024, the average revenue of cooperatives in the province will reach 1.35 billion VND/cooperative, an increase of 22.7%; the average income of members and employees in cooperatives will reach 4-8 million VND/person/month, an increase of 30% compared to 2021.
However, in reality, the application of digital transformation in the production and business activities of cooperatives in the province still has some limitations such as the technological infrastructure of cooperatives has not met the requirements; the qualifications and skills of cooperative leaders and members are still limited... Therefore, in addition to their own initiative, cooperatives really need the companionship and support of relevant levels and sectors to help cooperatives have more conditions to comprehensively and clearly apply digital transformation in production and business activities, thereby continuing to further improve operational efficiency.
