The land area for site clearance in the two areas is nearly 7 hectares and the cost of compensation, support, and resettlement is over 967 billion VND.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway expansion project is divided into three component projects.
Specifically, component project 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway expansion is managed by VEC as the managing agency and investor.
As for component projects 2 and 3, which are compensation, support and resettlement projects, they will be implemented by Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.
The 55km-long Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway is an important traffic route connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Southeast region. However, in recent years, this expressway has become overloaded and traffic jams often occur.
The expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway from the intersection of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 2 to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway intersection, about 22km long, is very urgent in the context of Long Thanh airport being put into operation.
