At the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Council held on the afternoon of April 25, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council gave opinions on many important contents. Comrade Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting; Comrade Hoang Van Thach, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and branches attended and explained some contents.
The meeting gave opinions on the list of resolutions to be submitted to the 2025 sessions of the 17th Provincial People's Council. Accordingly, there are 2 resolutions expected to be submitted to the thematic session in June 2025; the total number of resolutions expected to be submitted to the regular session in mid-2025 is 21; it is proposed to develop 13 resolutions to be submitted to the regular session at the end of 2025.
The meeting gave opinions on the time, agenda and assigned tasks to prepare for the regular mid-year session of the Provincial People's Council. Gave opinions on the content and preparations for the 30th session (special session) of the Provincial People's Council scheduled to open on April 28, 2025; approved the results of the review, proposed to abolish or amend and supplement the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council when implementing the 2-level local government model and merging commune-level administrative units. According to the review, the number of resolutions proposed to be abolished was 5, the number of resolutions proposed to be amended and supplemented was 82.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, basically agreed with the content presented at the thematic session in June 2025; requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to direct the review and supplement of draft resolutions to be included in the session, complete the registration of additional resolutions before May 15, especially resolutions related to national target programs, investment expenditures, and regular expenditures. For the regular session of the Provincial People's Council in the middle of the year, agreed to add 3 more resolutions, including: Resolution approving the adjustment of the investment policy of the project connecting Cao Bang city with the Dong Dang (Lang Son province) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang province) expressway; Resolution approving the investment policy of the traffic project connecting Lung Luong intersection of the Dong Dang (Lang Son province) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang province) expressway to Ta Lung international border gate; Resolution on adjusting the investment policy for the Dong Dang (Lang Son province) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang province) expressway construction investment project under the public-private partnership model. Regarding the organization of the regular mid-year session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, he requested to prepare well the conditions of facilities and equipment for the session; regarding the contents, especially the reports and draft resolution documents submitted to the session, the review must be completed before June 15.
He also requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue reviewing and proposing to abolish or amend and supplement the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on the basis of the 2-level local government model and merge commune-level administrative units in the spirit of "One resolution abolishes many resolutions", avoiding wasting resources.
