Online meeting to review the direction and management of socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2025, and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025

On the morning of March 28, 2025, Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired an online meeting to review the direction and management of socio -economic development in the first quarter of 2025, and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2025. Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Long Bien, Trinh Minh Hoang; Colonel Huynh Tan Hanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; leaders of Departments, branches and localities in the province.

According to the report, the socio-economic situation in the first quarter remained stable and grew; the total production value of all industries (GO) was estimated at VND 12,771 billion, up 9.11% over the same period; the state budget revenue in the area was estimated at VND 1,880 billion, equal to 34.2% of the plan, up 43.2%; new jobs were created for 5,443 workers, up 17.9% over the same period; the agricultural and rural economy grew steadily, high-tech agriculture was effective; the processing and manufacturing industry recovered, contributing to growth; renewable energy continued to effectively implement completed projects; tourism activities grew strongly in terms of the number of visitors and service usage value; the total budget revenue in the first quarter was estimated at VND 1,880 billion, reaching 34.2% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, up 43.2% over the same period; import and export achieved positive results; State management of land, minerals and environmental protection was strengthened; key projects and driving forces were focused on to accelerate progress. Social security policies were fully and promptly implemented; care for policy beneficiaries and poor households was better implemented; activities to celebrate the Party - celebrate Spring and welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty achieved the set goals. The administrative apparatus was organized and consolidated; military and national defense work was ensured, military assignment was safe, and targets were met; the work of practicing, saving and combating waste was focused on and implemented according to the set plan.

Overview of the meeting

Concluding the meeting, comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The implementation of socio-economic development tasks is forecasted to continue in the context of many difficulties and challenges. In addition, the policy of restructuring the administrative apparatus at all levels will greatly affect the psychology of civil servants and public employees, which are challenges in implementing socio-economic development tasks. However, with the province's motto of action in 2025 being "Solidarity, discipline, proactive creativity, streamlining efficiency, accelerating breakthroughs" ; all levels and sectors need to promote the spirit of solidarity, high determination, joint efforts, unanimity and efforts of the entire political system, consensus of the people, business community, determined to achieve faster socio-economic development results in the second quarter and the whole year. To achieve the target of GRDP growth in 2025 of 13.5%, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that sectors, localities and units continue to thoroughly grasp and implement synchronously, substantially and effectively all tasks and solutions of the 2025 plan according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development plan for 2025 with the spirit of "Clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibility, clear results" .

Regarding some specific tasks, Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels and sectors to continue to thoroughly grasp and do a good job of orienting the ideology of cadres and civil servants, not to let the psychological impacts of the policy of reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units at all levels affect the implementation of socio-economic development goals; enhance spirit, responsibility, and discipline in performing tasks. Comprehensively review key tasks, especially breakthrough tasks in Decision No. 13/QD-UBND dated January 10, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on the Plan to deploy key tasks and solutions to direct and implement the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate for 2025; thereby promptly removing difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. The Working Groups headed by the Provincial People's Committee need to be more drastic in order to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for businesses. Urgently complete procedures for investment projects, especially site clearance, environmental licenses, etc. to ensure faster, more concise and more effective results; actively seek and call for investors in industrial parks and clusters; remove bottlenecks, especially land prices; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital; progress in implementing key investment projects in economic sectors; promote budget revenue increase, especially the source of balance for expenditures; review and resolve mass, complicated, prolonged, and over-level complaints; promote the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, etc.
