Within the framework of the Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum held in Quang Ninh, on the morning of November 25, Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting and worked with Ms. Vu Chi Mai, Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka (Japan) and Mr. Shinya Nojima, Director of the Japan Institute of Technology Innovation and New Energy, former CEO of Fujikin Corporation, Japan.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Anh introduced an overview of the potential and strengths of Quang Ninh as well as cooperation and development programs of Japanese localities and Japanese enterprises in Quang Ninh.

Currently, the province has 228 valid FDI projects implemented by investors from 20 countries and territories around the world with a total registered investment capital of about 17.07 billion USD, of which Japanese enterprises have 16 projects, with a total investment capital of over 2.77 billion USD, ranking 2nd out of 20 countries and territories investing in Quang Ninh. However, FDI capital from Japan in the province has not been as expected.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Anh introduced the potential and strengths of Quang Ninh province.

He suggested that the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka and Mr. Shinya Nojima, Director of the Japan Institute of Technology Innovation and New Energy, and the delegation promote cooperation in the field of human resource training and green transformation - the field that Quang Ninh province focuses on in the coming development period. Organize a specific working program with the functional agencies of Quang Ninh province to discuss in detail, propose plans and feasible directions to implement the contents that the two sides can cooperate in the coming time.

Mr. Shinya Nojima, Director of the Japan Institute of New Energy and Technology Innovation, and the delegation discussed cooperation orientations with Quang Ninh.

The comrade assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Finance and relevant agencies to study the proposal of the Japan Institute of Technology Innovation and New Energy, advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee effective and practical implementation directions.
