After the prolonged rains in late October and early November 2025 and the impact of storm KALMAEGI (storm No. 13), during the night of November 6 to noon of November 7, the entire old Mang But commune area was completely cut off from the new commune center due to serious landslides on Provincial Road 676; at the same time, the water level in some underground overflows rose, causing difficulties for travel.

The leader of the Commune People's Committee said that the locality will proactively contact the leaders of Tra Van and Son Tay Thuong communes to coordinate in overcoming landslides, soon open the route, creating favorable conditions for local people in trade and travel.
