Golden Hills City project in Hoa Hiep Bac and Hoa Hiep Nam wards (Lien Chieu district) and Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district (Da Nang) is invested by Trung Nam Joint Stock Company (Trungnam Land - under Trung Nam Group).
The project covers an area of over 381 hectares, was first granted an investment certificate in March 2010, with a total capital of over 4,400 billion VND.
According to the introduction, the project is adjacent to Cu De River, after completion will create a civilized, modern ecological urban area with a synchronous technical infrastructure system, social infrastructure, green - clean - beautiful environment and landscape...
The project scale has 485 single villas and 360 semi-detached villas. The project is divided into 2 phases: phase 2010-2013, construction and development of land infrastructure, construction of the shell of the villas.
Phase 2013-2016, land transfer and lease to develop items according to planning.
According to Dan Tri reporter, currently in this urban area project there is a large neighborhood with blocks of houses that have been completed and then abandoned.
There are several security guards on duty in the entire area. The buildings are built with brick walls, without doors or covers, and some items show signs of mold.
Everywhere in the project is covered with grass because it has been abandoned for a long time and no one has cleaned it up.
According to research, recently the People's Committee of Da Nang City has information about the proposal of Trung Nam Joint Stock Company regarding the Golden Hills City ecological urban area project.
In particular, Trungnam Land proposed to adjust and update investor information, project name and objectives including: adding content of building houses for sale or rent, lease purchase. The investor also proposed to increase investment capital from 4,447 billion VND to 7,648 billion VND. The project implementation progress was adjusted from 2010-2016 to 2023-2029.
Most of the houses have completed stairs, the inside walls are not finished.
Regarding Trungnam Land's proposal, the Da Nang People's Committee stated that it had previously granted an investment registration certificate for the project but had not yet completed the procedures to submit to the Prime Minister for approval as prescribed. Therefore, the project adjustment is currently under the Prime Minister's authority, and the Da Nang People's Committee has no basis to implement the company's proposal.
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the project's problems have been commented on by the Ministry of Planning and Investment . Local authorities are looking for ways to resolve them.
Also at the Golden Hills City urban area project, there are a series of shophouses that have been abandoned for a long time, with grass growing inside and covering the entrance. From the outside, it looks no different from a greenhouse growing grass.
The project is deserted and has become a place for people to graze cattle.
