On the afternoon of May 2, at Da Nang station, the People's Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with the Military Region 5 Command to organize a ceremony to welcome, congratulate and see off the parade forces who completed their mission to participate in the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification Day.

This is the first of four trains carrying forces to their units stopping at Da Nang station, with nearly 600 officers and soldiers.

Before the train entered the station, thousands of cadres, soldiers and people of Da Nang city lined up to welcome it, waving colorful flags and flowers along the Da Nang train station tracks.

When the train entered the station, the welcoming team gave warm handshakes and bright smiles to the officers and soldiers on board. The scene reminded people of the image of people welcoming the victorious army back home in the past…

On behalf of the forces on the train, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - expressed his gratitude for the good feelings that the army and people of Da Nang city had given to the delegation.

Along the way back, the parade force was always welcomed by the army and people of the provinces and cities. This was a great honor and encouragement that the group received.

In response to that sentiment, in the coming time, the forces will continue to make efforts and strive to excellently complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, army and people, meeting the requirements in the new situation...

Joyful and happy after completing his mission, Lieutenant Tran Van Dung, a member of the parade and marching group of the Air Defense - Air Force Academy, was even happier to receive the precious affection of the people of Da Nang.

Lieutenant Dung said he was very happy when the delegation completed their mission and returned to continue receiving much affection from the people and promised to try to complete the next mission well. "The atmosphere in the southern provinces is wonderful, the people are hospitable and this is also an encouragement for me. I am very proud and touched by the affection the people have for the delegation" - he said.
