On the morning of November 14, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung attended the National Great Unity Day at Na Coc residential area, Thach An commune, Cao Bang province; praising the efforts of local Party committees, authorities and people in building a new life and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Attending the National Great Unity Day were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa; representatives of the Government Office , provincial departments and branches and a large number of people from Na Coc residential area.

Na Coc - a bright spot of solidarity, step by step change in building a new life

Na Coc residential area is home to many ethnic groups, such as Tay, Nung, Dao, Kinh, Mong with 117 households, 480 people, the main economy of the households depends on agriculture. Despite many socio-economic difficulties, for many years Na Coc has maintained the spirit of solidarity, mutual assistance, promoting cultural traditions and making efforts to improve life.

Na Coc residential area always receives close attention and direction from the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and local organizations. Na Coc villagers are always united, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, actively participate in village movements, contributing to maintaining political stability and ensuring security and order.

Implementing the movement "Joining hands to build new countryside", people have united to help each other with working days, contributing to transporting materials to build concrete roads, alleys, irrigation canals, etc. For infrastructure works, people together preserve, protect and use them in the most effective way to serve the common interests of the community.

Self-governing groups operate in an orderly manner, people work together to maintain environmental hygiene, and strictly follow residential area rules and regulations.

The residential area regularly promotes propaganda and mobilizes people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, contributing to the effective implementation of Party resolutions, State policies and laws, and community covenants... thereby overcoming difficulties and building increasingly developed residential areas.

Thach An commune currently has over 1,860 households. After merging and operating the 2-level local government model, the political apparatus in the commune operates increasingly stably and effectively; the gap in accessing public services is narrowed, and the material and spiritual life of the people has changed positively.

Despite being severely affected by storms No. 10 and 11 in September and October, the socio-economic situation of Cao Bang province still has many bright spots. GRDP in 10 months increased by more than 8%; State budget revenue reached over 3,500 billion VND. The work of caring for the poor was vigorously implemented. The Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized, repaired and built 4,459 solidarity houses with a total cost of nearly 216 billion VND.

Continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and exploit local advantages.

Speaking at the National Great Unity Festival in Na Coc residential area, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his joy on behalf of the Party and State leaders to attend the Festival with the local ethnic people.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that solidarity is a precious tradition throughout the nation's history, and is the decisive factor in the past struggles for independence and national unification as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today. The strength of great national solidarity has always been an important driving force and a decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Festival has become a beautiful tradition in residential areas, bringing the work of the Fatherland Front to the grassroots, towards each family, each resident, including the Na Coc residential area. This is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; practical community activities, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of the people; at the same time, evaluating the results of building great solidarity in residential areas and honoring typical collectives, individuals, good and creative models and practices.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this year's festival is even more meaningful when the entire Party, people and army are competing to achieve achievements to welcome the success of Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; and at the same time, celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front. Over 95 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has always played a role in gathering and uniting the entire people, making an important contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Referring to the world and domestic situation, the Deputy Prime Minister said that since the beginning of the year, the regional and world context has been complicated and unpredictable; many important tasks have been carried out at the same time in the country, such as reorganizing the apparatus, streamlining local governments; promoting economic growth; implementing breakthrough resolutions of the Politburo; organizing Party congresses at all levels; overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in many localities. Despite difficulties, the entire political system has made drastic efforts to help the economy and society recover positively.

Our country's GDP growth in the first 9 months reached 7.85%, estimated to reach over 8% for the whole year; the macro economy is stable, inflation is controlled, and the large balance continues to be ensured. Budget revenue in the first 10 months reached over 2.18 quadrillion VND, equal to 111% of the estimate; import and export increased by 17.4%, with a trade surplus of nearly 20 billion USD. Social security is given attention, people's lives continue to improve; social housing work, the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses have achieved outstanding results; natural disaster prevention work is deployed urgently and promptly.

Regarding Cao Bang province, the Deputy Prime Minister said that 2025 is a difficult year when the province is continuously heavily affected by storms No. 10 and 11. However, thanks to the spirit of solidarity and unity, Cao Bang is an economic bright spot of the country, exploiting its potential strengths in tourism, services, agriculture, etc.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the province's GRDP growth rate is estimated at 7.45% - among the highest in the Northern mountainous region; total state budget revenue reaches nearly 3,600 billion VND, exceeding 82% of the central budget estimate, up 71% over the same period in 2024. Import-export turnover reaches 1.37 billion USD, up 71.7% over the same period, making Cao Bang a bright spot in the Northeast region in terms of border trade.

Also in 2025, Cao Bang has done well in social security. The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has achieved impressive results with nearly 7,000 houses being supported to be built or repaired; social security work, sustainable poverty reduction, and care for people with meritorious services have been implemented synchronously.

In that general picture, Thach An commune and Na Coc residential area are bright spots in implementing the Party and State's policies, building cultural life, developing socio-economy and sustainable poverty reduction.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and commended the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Cao Bang province as well as Na Coc residential area have achieved in recent times.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that in the coming time, the Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of the province continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, effectively implement the goals of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; exploit the potential and advantages of the locality; promote border gate economy, tourism and sustainable agriculture; pay attention to and take care of people's lives, especially poor households, near-poor households, and policy families; maintain and improve the quality of the Great Unity Festival in residential areas; build and develop Na Coc residential area, Thach An commune with no more poor households.

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that with the steadfast revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity and the will to rise up, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Cao Bang province, and the residents of Na Coc residential area will continue to unite, strive to overcome difficulties, continue to gain many new victories, and build Cao Bang homeland to become increasingly rich, civilized, happy and sustainably developed.

The Deputy Prime Minister visited and shared difficulties with the households; requested local authorities to continue reviewing the damage, focusing on supporting people to quickly overcome the consequences, stabilize their lives, especially poor households, policy households and vulnerable families during the storm season.
