Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested an urgent investigation into the cause of the house fire in Tien Giang.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 35/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the house fire at No. 209/3 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ward 7, Ward 4, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province.

Telegram sent to the Minister of Public Security ; Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province; Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.

The content of the telegram states: At about 1:30 a.m. on April 10, 2025, a fire broke out at a house at 209/3 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ward 7, Ward 4, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province, killing 4 people in a family. On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:

1. The People's Committee of Tien Giang province directs the organization of thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, and creation of the best conditions to help stabilize the housing and life of the victims' families; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to promptly investigate the cause of the fire, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.

2. The Minister of Public Security and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions on fire prevention and fighting, especially during the upcoming Victory Day holiday of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1.

3. The Minister of Public Security directs the review and synthesis of reports to the Prime Minister on the results of consideration and handling of responsibilities for leaders at all levels and sectors who lack responsibility in directing, managing and operating, leading to fires and explosions causing serious consequences in the area and management field since the implementation of Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation and proposing solutions.
