Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany paid a courtesy call to the leaders of Tay Ninh province

On the afternoon of September 11, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Trung Kien and representatives of provincial departments and branches had a meeting with Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Christopher Scholl, who came to pay a courtesy visit at the Provincial People's Committee.

Over the years, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Germany has been continuously strengthened, especially after the two countries established a Strategic Partnership in 2011. Germany is currently Vietnam's largest trading partner in the European Union, and is also an important investor in many fields such as processing, manufacturing, energy, education and training, and sustainable energy transition.

Long An province (formerly) signed a cooperation agreement with Leipzig city (Germany) in the fields of industrial production, high-tech agriculture , logistics services, health care, energy, and environmental technology. In November 2024, Long An province (formerly) successfully organized the Long An - Cologne Investment Connection Workshop in Cologne city with 02 memorandums of understanding successfully signed. It is expected that Tay Ninh province will organize 01 investment promotion delegation in Europe to promote friendly cooperation with localities that have signed MOUs; meet with major German partners, corporations, and investors.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Trung Kien thanked Mr. Christopher Scholl for his affection and special attention to Tay Ninh province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Tay Ninh has many outstanding advantages in terms of geographical location, increasingly complete infrastructure system with 59 industrial parks, 82 industrial clusters, and orientation to strongly develop high-tech industries, supporting industries, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, logistics services, trade and tourism. He believes that these potentials will open up opportunities for more effective cooperation with German enterprises in the coming time and looks forward to receiving the attention, support and connection from the Deputy Consul General so that the upcoming business trip will achieve good results./.
