Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff praised the spirit of overcoming difficulties, the strong will and high vigilance of the officers and soldiers on duty on the island. He emphasized that Mat Island holds a particularly important strategic position, being the "eye of God" observing the vast sea, so the stationed forces must always maintain a high state of combat readiness, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.
