Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Tran Chi Cuong said that as the economic and political center of the Central Highlands region, connecting with Thailand via the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC), every August, Da Nang organizes trade and tourism fairs on the EWEC. This is an opportunity for businesses from localities of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand on the EWEC to introduce their products and connect with each other.
Appreciating the initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam) and the Consulate General of Thailand in coordinating the organization of the event "Meet Thailand 2024" in Da Nang, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee proposed that the Consulate General of Thailand organize more art exchange delegations between Thailand and Vietnam to create attraction for the event.
“The city government is committed to coordinating, supporting, and creating the most favorable conditions for the successful organization of the event “Meeting Thailand 2024” in Da Nang,” Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong affirmed; at the same time, he expressed his belief that the event “Meeting Thailand 2024” in Da Nang will open up opportunities for Vietnamese and Thai businesses and localities to introduce typical products, connect trade, and contribute to promoting economic , trade, investment, cultural, and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in general, and between Da Nang and Thai localities and partners in particular.
Agreeing with the proposal of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong on organizing art exchange delegations between Thailand and Vietnam, Thai Consul General Wiraka Moodhitaporn said that the event "Meeting Thailand 2024" in Da Nang is scheduled to be held from September 26 to 28.
“Currently, businesses in Thailand, Thai businesses investing and doing business in Vietnam are very interested in this event, especially in investing in Lien Chieu port, High-tech Park and Da Nang industrial parks,” Consul General Wiraka Moodhitaporn informed.
Proposing that the city government coordinate, support and create conditions for the event to take place successfully and achieve many positive results, the Thai Consul General expressed hope that in the coming time, businesses of both sides will have many practical cooperation programs, contributing to the further development of the friendship and cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam.
