Phu Huu cares for people's lives

Party Secretary and Chairman of Phu Huu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung said: "Determining that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is one of the important political tasks in Party building, the locality has concretized it into plans, organized guidance for subordinate Party cells to widely deploy it among cadres, Party members and the People; using the study results as the basis for emulation, evaluation and classification of grassroots Party organizations and Party members at the end of the year. Thanks to that, studying and following Uncle Ho's example has become a regular and voluntary activity, contributing to helping the locality achieve many positive results, especially in caring for the people's lives..."

With innovative and creative ways of mass mobilization work following Uncle Ho's words: "A hundred times easier without the people, ten thousand times harder, it can be done", Phu Huu commune has mobilized social resources, using the people's strength to take care of people's lives, effectively implementing projects and tasks according to the motto "The State and the People work together". From May 2024 to present, Phu Huu commune has mobilized over 20 billion VND in cash and in kind to build infrastructure, social welfare projects and take care of people's lives.

Mobilizing resources to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Typically, the locality has mobilized the socialization of the street lighting system to light up rural roads with a length of more than 20km, with a total mobilization cost of more than 1.7 billion VND, helping people to travel easily, ensuring security and order, traffic safety and order; mobilizing people to donate over 25,000m2 of land, worth over 3.5 billion VND to expand 2.8km of rural roads and 4.2km of intra-field roads to help people travel, transport agricultural products conveniently, and develop production. Agreeing with the policy of socializing rural works, considering this a program of "Party's will, people's hearts", Mr. Tran Quang Quan (residing in Phu Hoa hamlet) shared: "The benefits of street lights and roads, intra-field roads are huge, Phu Huu people are very excited and support. Thanks to street lights, people can go to the fields early in the morning, security and order and traffic safety are also ensured..."

Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", the locality has actively mobilized over 530 million VND, supporting over 1,500 Tet gifts for poor households, near-poor households, disadvantaged families, policy families and poor students. Mobilizing volunteer groups to give gifts, free medical examination and treatment to people with a total amount of over 369 million VND.

Mobilizing forces to build bridges by socialization method

In particular, in 2024, Phu Huu commune, with the support of the province, district, organizations, individuals, businesses and people, the locality has built and inaugurated the Chot Xa Doi bridge and the Bac Co Lau residential bridge under the socialized method with a total cost of over 7.6 billion VND. This is one of the largest projects in the locality to date to be implemented with 100% funding from socialized sources. Agreeing with the locality's socialization policy, Mr. Truong Tan Loc, a local resident who donated land to build the bridge, shared: "The locality mobilized me to compensate, but I voluntarily donated the land, did not receive any support money because I wanted to contribute my part to build a new, spacious and solid bridge to help people travel conveniently and safely."

At the same time, the locality mobilized to repair and build 116 new Great Unity houses, Gratitude houses, and Love houses for poor and near-poor households and policy families. Of which, the district supported the funding for 81 houses and the locality mobilized to build 35 houses, thereby contributing to the completion of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Phu Huu commune in particular and An Phu district in general. In addition, the locality also implemented clever mass mobilization models, such as: "Zero-VND working day", "Zero-VND eating and drinking" in participating in the construction and elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; charity rice jars; mobilizing households to hang Uncle Ho's pictures; buying hospital transport vehicles... with a total implementation cost of over 1 billion VND.
