Attending the event were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung; Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc and leaders of departments and Tinh Bien Town.

On the guest side from the Kingdom of Cambodia, there were Mr. Khon Sereiratha, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province; Mr. Yong Sovathana, Deputy Governor of Takeo Province, and delegations from the two provinces attending.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc affirmed that Tinh Bien - An Giang International Trade Fair is an important "highlight", promoting diplomatic relations, economic and trade cooperation between An Giang province - Vietnam and Takeo, Kandal provinces (Kingdom of Cambodia). Thereby, together aiming to strengthen friendship, trade connection, investment cooperation between enterprises, contributing to increasing the export of goods to the markets of ASEAN countries in general, and the Mekong Sub-region countries in particular.

The fair is also an opportunity for localities to exchange and cooperate economically , contributing to improving production and business capacity and competitiveness in the trend of international economic integration. The event also contributes to promoting trade, tourism and investment between provinces in the Southern key economic region and neighboring Cambodia.

This year's fair takes place from May 19 to May 25, 2025, with a scale of more than 330 booths from 15 provinces and cities in the country, such as: Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City... Besides, there are also booths of businesses from Kandal province, Takeo (Kingdom of Cambodia) and Thai businesses.

Coming to the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to approach, visit and shop for OCOP products, specialties of An Giang and other provinces and cities; agricultural and aquatic products, consumer goods, and regional specialties. Besides, there are also food and traditional cake stalls; outdoor stage areas, entertainment games and cultural and artistic activities serving visitors every night.
