Touliver did not want to be confined to the image of music production but wanted to turn to painting to express himself, to find a path parallel to music, to satisfy his "thirst" for creativity.
Touliver does not want to be framed in the image of a music producer.
Touliver's first solo exhibition is an opportunity for him to share with the public his artistic practice over the past five years.
For him, painting is also an opportunity to preserve the precious things in life, enriching his "bank" of memories.
The exhibition Mid-life Crisis will be introduced to art lovers in early December with more than 20 paintings, marking Touliver's desire to conquer multi-faceted art.
Touliver with his latest works
Self-proclaimed as a man of few words, Touliver day and night "magically" creates the collisions of sound, then "molds" his emotions onto the canvas, which is how he communicates with the world to affirm: this is me. He said: "I believe that painting is a therapeutic tool, like music, a means for us to recover from brokenness, and at the same time develop the ability to empathize. I want viewers to reflect to understand the ego, the light and the dark, the emotional and the rational."
Touliver has won many awards such as the Dedication Music Award, Blue Wave Award..., is the music director of Rap Viet season 1 and 2 (with producers TINLE and SlimV) and left his mark as a music producer through famous mixes such as: Bigcityboi, Tomorrow, Does anyone love me like you, Mr Right, Tomorrow I'm leaving, Picking up and dropping off a few times...
Touliver's Mid-life Crisis exhibition takes place from December 3 to December 11, 2023 at SunLife Flagship - De La Sol (244 Pasteur, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), open from 9am to 9pm every day.
