According to statistics from the People's Committee of Phu Xuyen district, the total revenue from e-commerce in the whole district in 2023 will only reach about 147 billion VND. This is a modest figure, reflecting the difficulties of craft villages and small businesses in the area in accessing the digital market...

Faced with this situation, since the end of 2023, Phu Xuyen district has developed and implemented a program to promote e-commerce associated with comprehensive digital transformation. The district focuses on training e-commerce skills for people, organizing classes on online sales, livestreaming, digital content creation, etc. with the participation of experts, entrepreneurs and actual professionals.
Up to now, training courses have been widely organized in communes and towns with the requirement that each locality must have at least 200 people participating. In addition to sales skills, people also have access to knowledge about video recording, using editing software, writing content using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, effectively exploiting platforms such as: Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Zalo...
At the same time, the district built a communication system to promote craft villages on social networks, launched a video clip creation contest to introduce Phu Xuyen products and people. Periodic livestream sales sessions for each product cluster have created a positive effect, helping consumers better identify typical products, such as: Phu Yen leather shoes, Chuyen My mother-of-pearl inlay, Dai Thang mechanics...

Thanks to the synchronous solution, the district's e-commerce revenue increased sharply in 2024, reaching 1,010 billion VND, nearly 7 times higher than the previous year. Notably, in just the first 5 months of 2025, this figure continued to break out, reaching more than 4,000 billion VND. Many production households and craft villages recorded revenue growth of 5-10 times compared to the same period last year thanks to online sales.
According to Chairman of Phu Xuyen District People's Committee Le Van Binh, e-commerce is not only a tool for product consumption, but also opens up sustainable development opportunities for craft villages.

Currently, Phu Xuyen continues to promote the development of digital infrastructure, coordinating with major e-commerce platforms to bring OCOP products and craft village products to professional sales channels. The district also encourages the formation of community e-commerce groups, supporting people to maintain communication activities, customer care, and quick order processing.
From a locality once considered a "lowland" of digital commerce, Phu Xuyen is gradually affirming its role as a "bright spot" of Hanoi in rural digital transformation, especially in connecting markets and reviving traditional craft villages with technology.
