The parade showcasing the strength of the participants at the 1st Phu Xuyen Commune Sports Festival featured over 2,000 delegates, athletes, referees, and 30 ceremonial, performance, and parade contingents.
Prior to the opening ceremony, the organizing committee held eight sporting events: athletics, football, badminton, volleyball, Chinese chess, chess, tug-of-war, and sack race.
The opening ceremony was held solemnly with many rituals: a parade showcasing the strength of the participants, a torch relay - lighting the traditional flame, flag raising, statement of purpose, introduction of delegates, opening speech, athlete's pledge, referee's oath, release of doves, etc.
In her opening remarks at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Phu Xuyen Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong stated that in recent years, the mass sports movement in Phu Xuyen commune has developed extensively, with investments in facilities and an increasing percentage of people participating in regular sports training.
The first Phu Xuyen Commune Sports Festival is a major event for the entire commune, not only contributing to improving health, strengthening willpower, and educating the character of the younger generation, but also providing an opportunity for the people, union members, and youth to interact, strengthen solidarity, build a healthy cultural life, and work towards the goal of building a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Phu Xuyen.
Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented commemorative flags to the participating delegations in the parade and performance; and awarded 10 collectives and 26 individuals for their outstanding achievements in organizing the sports festival.
With the participation of over 2,000 outstanding officials, members, and youth, the Phu Xuyen Commune Sports Festival 2025 became a spectacular sporting event, affirming the determination of the local Party Committee, government, and people in developing the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh".
Immediately following the parade showcasing the strength of the armed forces were spectacular group performances by the clubs: the Senior Citizens' Club and the traditional martial arts club of Phu Minh Secondary School.
