Phu Yen promotes investment promotion in the Czech Republic

Within the framework of the Program to promote Vietnamese localities in the Czech Republic, the Kingdom of Belgium and the Swiss Confederation, on June 3 (local time), the delegation of Phu Yen province had a working session with the Government of Karlovy Vary province, Czech Republic.

The program is organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassies in European countries and the People's Committees of the provinces: Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Ninh Binh, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long and Thua Thien Hue.

The delegation of Phu Yen province was led by Comrade Le Tan Ho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of the following departments: Culture, Sports and Tourism, Industry and Trade, Finance, Public Security and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tan Ho introduced an overview of the potential, strengths and sustainable development orientation of Phu Yen. Comrade Le Tan Ho hoped that the leaders of Karlovy Vary province would pay attention to supporting Phu Yen province in promoting its image, potential and strengths; at the same time, connecting with businesses of Karlovy Vary and the Czech Republic in cooperation in developing areas where both sides have strengths and potential such as: Agriculture , seaports, renewable energy, marine tourism; conservation and development of historical and cultural heritages, scenic spots; science and technology; high-tech industry; supporting industry...).

Ms. Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, Mayor of Karlovy Vary City, appreciated the interest of Vietnamese localities and expressed her desire to promote effective cooperation, especially activities related to the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic and Europe.

Karlovy Vary is a famous tourist center of the Czech Republic, known as the film capital and the world's leading spa town with a system of hot springs, accommodation facilities and modern tourist infrastructure.

On June 4 (local time), the delegation of Phu Yen province had a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic and attended a seminar connecting localities and the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the seminar, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tan Ho informed overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic and Europe about the changes and development of Phu Yen province in recent years, especially in terms of transport infrastructure, urban areas, tourism services, etc.

Currently, Phu Yen province has all types of transportation by road, rail, air, and water; there are a number of hotels and tourist areas that meet international standards. Recently, Phu Yen province has completed the Provincial Planning for the period up to 2030 and vision to 2050, with many very clear and breakthrough development orientations; in which, focusing on developing dynamic industries (metallurgy, petrochemical refining, energy, etc.); at the same time, identifying tourism as a key economic sector.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Phu Yen is ready to welcome and create all favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese, businessmen and intellectuals from overseas to invest in Phu Yen, contributing to the development of the homeland.

According to the program, from June 6-13, the Phu Yen delegation will continue to carry out promotional activities in Belgium and Switzerland with many important contents to expand international cooperation in the fields of investment, tourism, agriculture, science and technology, etc.
