Phu Yen Online - SEA Games 32 medal tally on May 12: Vietnam firmly in first place, far ahead of Thailand

As of the end of May 12, the Vietnamese sports delegation has officially surpassed the 70 gold medal mark at the 32nd SEA Games after impressive achievements by the Wushu, Athletics, Taekwondo and Diving teams.

Wushu had an immediate success when winning 5 more gold medals. Athletics contributed 2 gold medals. Taekwondo won the first gold medal on the first day of the competition.

 

Meanwhile, the Diving team also made an impressive start with a "Golden Poker" (4 gold medals), thereby helping the Vietnamese sports delegation firmly hold the top position in the medal table with 71 gold medals, 68 silver medals and 78 bronze medals.

 

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation is currently 11 gold medals ahead of the second-placed Sports Delegation, Thailand.

 

The host team Cambodia maintained 3rd place in the medal table with 57 gold medals.
