On the morning of April 8, Tuy An District People's Committee held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial historical-cultural relic for Ganh Dua tomb (Giai Son village, An My commune).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Vice Chairman of Tuy An District People's Committee said: Lang Ganh Dua is a place where, according to the belief of worshiping Whale - the god of fortune who always saves fishermen at sea. This is a typical folk belief of coastal fishermen in general and Phu Yen fishermen in particular, with the wish to pray for favorable weather, a good shrimp and fish season, and a prosperous and fulfilling life.
According to some elders, Ganh Dua tomb in Giai Son village was built during the reign of King Gia Long, around the beginning of the 19th century. Initially, the tomb was built with thatch and plastered with clay. During the resistance war against French colonialism, the tomb was destroyed. In 1954, the people rebuilt the tomb on the old foundation. During the resistance war against the US, the tomb was burned by artillery shells, and the walls were further destroyed. After 1975, the people restored and repaired it. From 1997 to 2006, the tomb was restored to its present state.

Ganh Dua Tomb has a beautiful location, with the unique features of a coastal village landscape. The tomb is located on the coast, adjacent to Ba Temple and the rocky cliff, creating a scenic complex with wild beauty, which can become a tourist attraction connecting with other relics, especially Hon Yen scenic complex.
At the ceremony, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the Certificate of ranking as a provincial historical-cultural relic for Ganh Dua Tomb to the Party Committee, government and people of Tuy An district. Ganh Dua Tomb was ranked as a provincial historical-cultural relic, raising the total number of provincial relics in Tuy An district to 23, contributing to enriching the cultural heritage treasure of Tuy An district.
