Conference on information, propaganda, job introduction, vocational training, and loan support for people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their place of residence in Phuoc Long town.
At the conference, 48 people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their place of residence in Phuoc Long town were informed about Decree No. 49/2020/ND-CP dated April 17, 2020 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments on community reintegration; information on legal provisions on criminal records, criminal record deletion, judicial records, legal contents that people who have completed their prison sentences are supported; regimes and policies to support vocational training, groups of occupations supported for training and the needs of the labor market; answered questions about employment and career guidance for people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to their place of residence. At the same time, representatives of the Phuoc Long town Social Policy Bank branch also deployed credit policies for people who have completed their prison sentences.
Up to now, Phuoc Long town is managing 48 people who have completed their prison sentences, of which 5 cases have received loans under Decision No. 22/2023/QD-TTg with a total of 450 million VND.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Lanh, Deputy Head of PC10 (Provincial Police) informed about Decree No. 49 of the Government on community reintegration.
Deputy Director of the State Legal Aid Center (Department of Justice) Phan Thi Van informed about the contents of the Criminal Record Erasure Regulation according to the Penal Code, Judicial Records, scope of judicial records management and legal advice for people who have completed their prison sentences.
Mr. Pham Tan, Deputy Director of the Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) informed about the procedures for registering for vocational training, career guidance, and job search support.
By providing legal knowledge, connecting with job placement agencies, vocational training, and supporting access to preferential loans, the program opens up a hopeful path back to life for those who have completed their prison sentences. Not only does it help them have a stable livelihood, these synchronous solutions also play a key role in raising legal awareness, preventing the risk of recidivism, and ensuring security and order in the locality. Thereby, contributing to the formation of a safe and harmonious living environment and promoting the process of sustainable socio-economic development.
