Phuong Anh Dao and Tuan Tran won big at Green Star 2024

(CLO) At the 11th Green Star Awards ceremony, which took place on the evening of January 11, the actor duo Phuong Anh Dao and Tuan Tran from the film "Mai" won many important awards, affirming their talent and appeal on the Vietnamese screen.

Actress Phuong Anh Dao made a strong impression when she received three consecutive trophies at the award ceremony. In the category of "Favorite Actress" in the film industry, she surpassed many strong candidates such as Diep Bao Ngoc and Ngoc Xuan with an overwhelming number of votes from the audience.

Not stopping there, she also won the "Best Actress" award voted by the Arts Council and the "Favorite Couple" award with co-star Tuan Tran.

The role in the movie "Mai" - a work that earned more than 500 billion VND in revenue during the Lunar New Year 2024 - is considered a breakthrough for Phuong Anh Dao. In the movie, she plays Mai, a nearly 40-year-old massage worker who experiences a troubled love affair with musician Duong (played by Tuan Tran). This role not only brought home a series of awards but also affirmed the actress's acting depth.

Sharing at the award ceremony, Phuong Anh Dao emotionally said: "I am happy to win the trophy on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of leaving the University of Theatre and Cinema. This is a memorable milestone, and I want to thank my teachers, especially Ms. Le Thanh, who laid the foundation for my career. I will continue to strive to bring more interesting roles."

Not to be outdone, Tuan Tran also won two important awards: "Best Actor" and "Most Favorite Actor". His role as Duong in "Mai" helped him surpass prominent candidates such as Hoai Linh, Thai Hoa, Thuan Nguyen and Avin Lu.

In addition to his success with "Mai", Tuan Tran also left his mark with the role of Lanh in "Getting Rich with Ghosts", contributing to strengthening his position in Vietnamese cinema.

With a resounding victory at the 11th Green Star Awards, Phuong Anh Dao, Tuan Tran and the "Mai" crew not only affirmed their talent but also left a deep impression in the hearts of the audience, promising a promising year for Vietnamese cinema.

Not only stopping at individual awards, the film crew of "Mai" also won big at the award ceremony with categories such as "Best Movie" and "Best Supporting Actress" for artist Hong Dao.

The Green Star Awards, first held in 2013, is an annual event organized by TodayTV in collaboration with Cinema World Magazine, to honor individuals and groups with outstanding contributions in the fields of cinema and television.
