Phuong My Chi joins Asian music competition after "Em xinh"

(Dan Tri) - The event marked a new turning point in Phuong My Chi's 12-year artistic journey, when she brought music with strong national identity to Asia.

Recently, Phuong My Chi confirmed that she will represent Vietnam to participate in Sing!Asia 2025. This is an international music program held in China, gathering promising young singers from many Asian countries such as Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia...

The 2003-born singer’s participation in a regional music scene quickly attracted attention. With 12 years of artistic activities and a musical style imbued with traditional influences, Phuong My Chi is expected to be a prominent representative of Vietnam at this event.

Sharing about the opportunity to participate in the program, the female singer said she was quite hesitant because the filming schedule of Sing!Asia almost followed the activities of her personal project "Em xinh".

"There were times when I worried that I wouldn't be able to do both, but I thought that if I didn't try, I wouldn't know my capabilities. This is a rare opportunity to meet and learn from many international artists, so I want to step out of my comfort zone for once," Phuong My Chi confided.

The singer revealed that the entire performance at the show was staged as a continuous story, in which music and images combine to tell the story of Vietnam. The singer born in 2003 was deeply involved in every stage of production, from choosing songs, arranging music with DTAP to stage design, costumes, etc.

"I want to put my heart into each song. Each performance is not just a performance, but a way for me to introduce Vietnam to international friends," Phuong My Chi said.

From the folk singer who caused a stir on The Voice Kids 12 years ago, Phuong My Chi has now grown up and built her own artistic path. She is determined to pursue music with national spirit, with the ideal of bringing traditional Vietnamese music to the world .

Sing!Asia is a music competition organized by iQIYI (China) platform, taking place on a 30-day cruise. The journey starts from Shanghai (China), passes through Okinawa (Japan), Ha Long Bay (Vietnam), Singapore, Malaysia and ends in Hong Kong (China).

The program brings together talented young singers from many Asian countries, with large-scale investment, bringing quality performances in both music and image.

The judges include many famous artists in the region such as Dan Truong, Truong Luong Dinh, Vu Truong Tinh, Lam Chi Dinh, To Huu Bang and Co Cu Ky.
