Based on design information, traffic instructions at intersections and field surveys, Nghe An Newspaper shares information and instructions for people and vehicle owners to build reasonable and safe routes for getting on and off at intersections in Nghe An.
Vehicles from the South onto the North-South expressway through Nghe An to go North
+ At the first intersection of the Dien Chau - Nghi Son section: Vehicles traveling from National Highway 1A (Vinh City) to Hanoi , wanting to go on the North - South Expressway, Dien Chau - Nghi Son section, after reaching the starting point of National Highway 7 intersecting with National Highway 1A at Dien Chau intersection (next to Muong Thanh Dien Chau Hotel), turn left and follow National Highway 7 to the West, go about 5km to the intersection with the North - South Expressway in Dien Cat commune (Dien Chau). Here, vehicles passing the intersection for about 100m then turn right following the sign to the North - South Expressway and go to the North.

If vehicles from Yen Thanh, Do Luong districts or the Western districts along National Highway 7 want to take the expressway to Hanoi, they should follow National Highway 7 and turn left when approaching the intersection with the North-South Expressway at Dien Cat. At the access road, vehicles have 2 options according to the signs here. From there, vehicles should follow the signs to get on the expressway to the North to reach the next intersections.

+ At the intersection with the expressway in Quynh My commune (Quynh Luu) : Vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A from the South to Dien Chau intersection do not turn left towards National Highway 7, then continue about 20km, to the intersection of National Highway 48B overpass in Cau Giat town, then turn left and follow National Highway 48B to the West. After traveling about 2km to near the North-South expressway overpass with National Highway 48B, there is a right turn to enter the North-South expressway to return to the North.
If vehicles from National Highway 48 Phu Quy or Ho Chi Minh trail want to go to the North - South expressway, take National Highway 48 to Tuan intersection (Quynh Chau, Quynh Luu), turn left onto National Highway 48B, go about 7 km down to Lach Quen, to the intersection with the North - South expressway at Quynh My, then cross the North - South expressway overpass to go North.

Vehicles traveling on the highway from Hanoi through Nghe An to the South:
Vehicles traveling on the highway from the North to Nghe An, then through Truong Vinh tunnel (Thanh Hoa area) about 5 km to the National Highway 48D overpass crossing the North - South highway at Quynh Vinh (Hoang Mai town) follow the instructions to go to Dien Cat - Dien Chau intersection to from here return to National Highway 7 to Dien Chau town to go to the South.
If the vehicle is not going south but to the districts, continue about 2 km to the Quynh Vinh intersection overpass, turn right, go around the highway from the West to the East to get to National Highway 48D, from there go in the chosen directions.

Up to this point (August 29), the North-South Expressway section Nghi Son - Dien Chau has basically completed the items to ensure the technical traffic opening ceremony. Recently, to ensure traffic safety at the intersections after the technical traffic opening, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has worked with and recommended to Project Management Board 6 a number of unsafe points at the intersection of the expressway with National Highway 7 in Dien Cat; the investor limits vehicles with a load capacity of over 3.5 tons from entering and exiting the intersections with national highways in the area; recommends restoring the site clearance markers to hand over to local management; requires the installation of full traffic signs and instructions at the intersections. The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee recommends that people when traveling, getting on and off at the intersections with the expressway pay attention to the signs, ensure safe travel, do not stop, park or reverse arbitrarily on the expressway.
Mr. Phan Huy Chuong - Deputy Head of Nghe An Traffic Safety Committee

Talking to us on the afternoon of August 28, a representative of Project Management Board 6 said: The unit is submitting to the Ministry of Transport a plan to organize traffic on the North-South Expressway section Nghi Son - Dien Chau. As previously planned, after the technical opening ceremony, the units will temporarily close the road to check and complete some technical details, ensure traffic safety at some locations before officially putting it into operation. However, according to the direction of the Ministry of Transport, the unit is trying its best to complete the technical opening and allow vehicles to circulate from September 2 so that people can travel during the National Day holiday. Currently, vehicles traveling on the expressway will not have to pay fees; in phase 1, vehicles traveling on the expressway will be allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
