The inspection also aimed to prepare for storm No. 3 in Ho Chi Minh City. The delegation inspected high-speed trains from Bach Dang wharf to Ba Ria - Vung Tau (old).

Accordingly, the inspection team inspected the preparation and provision of life jackets for passengers, as well as the conditions for waterway traffic safety and related regulations. At the same time, the team also inspected river bus routes departing from Bach Dang to Linh Dong. A representative of the Inspection Department 6 said that according to regulations, all types of waterway passenger wharfs across the river require passengers to wear life jackets for protection. For large passenger ships with closed designs, although life jackets are not required, life jackets must be equipped on board to ensure the safety of passengers.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority, in recent years, the situation of waterway traffic safety and order in the city has achieved positive results, with no waterway traffic accidents occurring for many years. However, there are still a number of waterway vehicles in the city whose registration has expired or are not registered or inspected; violations of regulations on waterway traffic safety and order still occur.

To strengthen solutions to ensure waterway traffic safety and order in the area, the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority recommends that ship owners step up propaganda and dissemination of laws on waterway traffic safety and order on vehicles at passenger wharves, tourist boats, and floating restaurants, in order to raise awareness of voluntary compliance with the provisions of the law on waterway traffic safety and order; warn people about the risks of traffic accidents and measures to prevent traffic accidents. Enterprises and owners of waterway vehicles sign a commitment to comply with legal regulations. Publicly announce on media at wharves and ports the list of waterway vehicles that do not ensure technical conditions for waterway safety so that people know and do not use the service.

The Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority recommends that the authorities strengthen inspections, detect and strictly handle violations of vehicles and vehicle owners such as: not registering, not being inspected, not having a driver's license, professional certificates and conditions on inland waterway safety techniques, carrying more people than prescribed, lacking life-saving equipment. Organize inter-sectoral working groups to inspect the safety conditions of ports and passenger watercraft, floating houses for restaurant and hotel business, paying special attention to inspections at cross-river passenger wharves.
At the same time, strengthen the survey and measurement of waterways, adjust and supplement signals on the route appropriately; invest in, renovate and repair ports, paint and repair the signal system; maintain and repair vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations; and prevent traffic accidents on waterways.
