Special Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years arrives in Vietnam

According to the official dealer, a Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years was imported into Vietnam in mid-May 2025.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years was first introduced at Monterey Car Week 2024, bearing the mark of the Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept that debuted at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car belongs to the 992.1 generation and is limited to only 1,974 units worldwide, symbolizing the first year of production of the Turbo line.

Accordingly, the car about to be launched in Vietnam has a silver exterior, most likely GT Silver Metallic - one of Porsche's iconic colors. Users can also choose special colors such as Paint to Sample (optional nearly 786 million VND) or Paint to Sample Plus (about 1.98 billion VND).

Although not part of the official Heritage Design line, the 50 Years edition still has many details that evoke the past. The car is equipped with a set of 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels in Turbonite color, 20/21 inches as standard. In addition, customers can upgrade to white Sport Classic wheels, part of the Heritage Design package worth more than 1 billion VND.

Customers can upgrade to the large "50 years turbo" and "PORSCHE" decals on the car body, or the "Heritage Design 50 Years Turbo" decals from the 1 billion VND equipment package above.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years also features a badge on the engine grille with the words "Turbo 50 1974-2024", along with a sketch of the characteristic snail-shaped turbo cluster.

In terms of interior, the cabin of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years recreates a nostalgic style with seats covered in McKenzie-patterned Tartan fabric, similar to the 1973 911 RSR Turbo concept. This is the interior style that appeared on limited editions such as the 911 Sport Classic or 911 Spirit 70.

Customers can keep the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with checkered fabric upholstery or upgrade to all-black leather seats, priced at nearly VND100 million. Details such as the door panels and rear seat backs are also covered in matching Tartan fabric.

The passenger-side dashboard is engraved with the production number of the 1,974 cars, along with a “Turbo 50” badge. The car is also equipped with the Sport Chrono package, which includes functions such as Launch Control, an analogue lap timer, a racing-inspired gearshift lever, and steering-wheel-integrated driving modes.

In terms of performance, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is equipped with a 3.7L twin-turbo 6-cylinder boxer engine, producing 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The engine comes with an 8-speed PDK gearbox, all-wheel drive system, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 330 km/h.

In the international market, the standard Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years costs about 234,000 USD (equivalent to 6.12 billion VND), but can go up to more than 300,000 USD (about 7.85 billion VND) if customers choose high-end customization packages.

This limited edition model has been officially imported to Vietnam and will likely be on display in the near future. Although the specific configuration in Vietnam has not been announced, the price after tax is expected to be around 20 billion VND, depending on the exterior, interior and performance options requested by the customer.

The online configurator for the 911 Turbo 50 Years is now hidden from the Porsche global website, as the 992.2 series was officially launched in March 2025. This further demonstrates the “rarity” and collectible value of the Turbo 50 Years version.
