At the same time, the Military Region 2 Command also mobilized 300 officers and soldiers of Division 316 to prepare well, organize a march that night to the place where flash floods and landslides occurred to participate in search and rescue, helping people overcome the consequences.

In order to quickly and effectively overcome the consequences, the Military Region 2 Command established a Forward Command Center in Phuc Khanh commune, directly commanded by the Commander of Military Region 2, directing the forces participating in overcoming the consequences.

Lieutenant General Pham Hong Chuong, leaders of Lao Cai province and relevant agencies discussed the rescue plan on the map.

The area where the flash flood occurred was far from the center, traffic was cut off, and communication was completely lost, so rescue and relief work encountered many difficulties. As soon as the news was received, the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command mobilized 30 officers, soldiers and vehicles to quickly move to the scene, coordinating with local forces of Bao Yen district to organize search and rescue. By 8:00 p.m. on September 10, rescue forces had rescued 40 people, including 10 injured people, and found 15 bodies of victims. Many people are still missing.
