Pho is a Vietnamese dish famous all over the world . Many tourists when coming to Vietnam or when visiting restaurants selling Vietnamese food want to enjoy this dish. Pho is even loved by many international stars. KyuHyun (Super Junior), Hyun Bin and Park Hoon, Bi Rain, Somi... have all publicly expressed their love for Vietnamese Pho.
Recently, famous actress Charmaine Sheh posted a picture of herself enjoying beef noodle soup and some other dishes at a restaurant in Happy Valley, Hong Kong. The 48-year-old actress said that every time she passes by here, she can't resist her cravings. She rated this restaurant as having the best pho in Hong Kong.

According to research, the pho at the restaurant is cooked in the Southern style, including rare and well-done beef, beef balls, ham, served with bean sprouts, basil, green onions, cilantro and fresh chili. This restaurant uses high-quality Japanese Wagyu A5 beef with a bowl priced at 245 HKD (over 730,000 VND). If customers choose the regular pho, it will be American Angus Prime beef, which is cheaper, around 128 HKD (380,000 VND).
With Wagyu beef pho, the beef is sliced thinly. Before serving, the chef will use a blowtorch to lightly cook one side. Charmaine Sheh was very pleased with this dish.
Charmaine Sheh also showed off photos of spring rolls and shrimp rolls. She also enjoyed filter coffee when she arrived at the shop. Charmaine Sheh's post attracted more than 3,000 comments on Weibo and Instagram. Actress Wang Minyi commented, "I'll come try it," and Charmaine Sheh replied, "I definitely have to try it."
However, some viewers of the pho dish in Xa Thi Man's post said that this way of grilling beef is completely not the right way to cook pho in Vietnam. Another opinion said that Vietnamese beef pho usually uses local beef with lots of tendons, brisket and flank, while the type of beef used in the restaurant is more suitable for grilled dishes.
"I'm happy that Vietnamese pho is loved by everyone, but I hope the dish is cooked in the true Vietnamese style to bring out the most authentic flavor," commented Seven Nguyen.
Some others expressed the opinion that depending on the culinary culture of each country, restaurants should adapt Vietnamese dishes accordingly.
