(Baothanhhoa.vn) - In recent years, the grassroots cultural and sports institutions of Nong Cong district have received investment attention, thereby contributing to the development of the physical training and sports movement, improving spiritual and cultural life, uniting the community, successfully implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in the area.

Currently, the district has a cultural, information, sports and tourism center (CST&DL), stadium, library, traditional house and square - park with modern and synchronous investment. Notably, the CST&DL has 1 artificial turf football field, 2 covered swimming pools, 3 indoor badminton courts, 7 table tennis tables, 4 leather volleyball courts, 2 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts. 29/29 communes and towns have stadiums; the whole district has 8 artificial turf football fields, 29 cultural - sports centers (CST) of communes and towns, 12 sports training and competition houses. 201/201 villages and sub-wards have cultural houses, of which 175/201 cultural houses meet the prescribed standards; There are 180 villages with simple soccer fields, 460 volleyball and air volleyball courts, 430 badminton courts, 4 basketball courts, 50 table tennis tables, 4 fixed swimming pools, 8 smart swimming pools, 4 tennis courts and 120 other simple sports fields.

After being built, the grassroots cultural and sports institutions were protected, repaired and ensured by the authorities at all levels and the people for people to participate in cultural and sports activities. People in some localities have proactively contributed their efforts and money to upgrade and renovate the campus, build fences and purchase equipment. At the same time, they contributed funds to organize cultural and sports activities.

In communes, cultural houses are built spaciously, some are equipped with bookshelves and libraries, becoming annual meeting places for the people. Cultural houses in villages have entertainment areas and open spaces, often associated with regular cultural and sports clubs, creating conditions for people to exercise, improve their physical and mental health. Currently, communes and towns have established cultural and sports teams and clubs. On average, each village has 1-3 cultural and sports teams. Every year, on political events, holidays and Tet, villages, communes and towns organize cultural and sports exchange activities. Thanks to that, grassroots cultural and sports institutions are completed, preserved and promoted effectively and functionally.

Ms. Le Thi Tinh in Tho Vinh village, Trung Chinh commune, shared: “My commune has 9 women's volleyball clubs with more than 200 people practicing regularly. Every late afternoon, I and everyone else go to the field to compete. Through practicing volleyball, I feel less stressed, tired, relaxed, and all activities in daily life are more flexible. Not only does it improve health, but playing sports also brings people together, strengthens and tightens neighborly relationships.”

In particular, the completion of the grassroots cultural and information institutions system has a profound and comprehensive impact on many areas of life, contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the 5th Central Conference (VIII term) and the Resolution of the 9th Central Conference (XI term) on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development"; meeting the requirements of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development in the district.

Up to now, the whole district has 185 sports clubs, the rate of population participating in regular sports training is 45%, the number of sports families is 30% of the total population; 100% of schools in the district ensure the implementation of physicaleducation . The whole district has 86% of households achieving the title of cultural family; 100% of villages achieving the new rural cultural standards; 28 new rural communes, 1 town recognized as a town meeting the civilized urban standards, 7 communes achieving advanced new rural standards, 3 communes achieving model new rural standards; 87% of villages and residential groups recognized as cultural residential areas; 15 model new rural villages, 2 smart villages.

The district pays special attention to the work of building and training a team of cadres directly working as cultural cadres. Every year, 50 cadres directly working in cultural management of the district are supported and given the opportunity to participate in studying and improving their professional qualifications.

Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Nong Cong district, Le Thanh Binh, said: “The number of grassroots cultural and sports institutions in the district is increasing, cultural, artistic and sports clubs have been established to meet the needs of community activities, ensuring a playground for the majority of people. Party committees, authorities and organizations in the district regularly organize mass cultural and sports activities, and mass tournaments that attract a large number of people to participate in training and competing. Therefore, the quality of the movement to build a grassroots cultural life in the district has been improved, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people, promoting the socio-economic development of localities. The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas has therefore had a strong qualitative change".
