Tan Binh District held a meeting to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

On April 27, at the Museum of the Armed Forces of the Southeast Region, the Tan Binh District Party Committee, People's Committee and the Tan Binh District Resistance Liaison Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023).

The meeting was attended by more than 100 comrades, officers, soldiers, and those who had participated in the resistance war through different periods of operation in Tan Binh district.

Leaders and delegates offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Dang Van Cuong, former Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Resistance Tradition Club, Head of the Resistance Liaison Committee of Tan Binh District, reviewed the national historical tradition in the struggle to build and defend the country. In particular, the historical event of April 30, 1975 was one of the brilliant milestones, contributing significantly to the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

At 7:00 a.m. on April 30, 1975, revolutionary cadres and people from Xuan Thoi Thuong, Vinh Loc, Binh Hung Hoa, and Tan Son Nhi communes, Phu Tho Hoa simultaneously rose up to seize power. On the afternoon of April 30, 1975, the flag of the Liberation Front was flying over the Tan Binh district headquarters and the headquarters of the communes in the district.

Delegates visit the Museum of the Southeastern Armed Forces

Within the framework of the meeting, delegates burned incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and visited the Museum of the Armed Forces of the Southeast region.

Standing Deputy Secretary of Tan Binh District Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Long spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Tan Binh District Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Long expressed his gratitude for the great contributions of comrades who are cadres, soldiers, and those who participated in the resistance war through different periods of operation in Tan Binh District. At the same time, he hoped that the previous generation would continue to support the work of propagating andeducating revolutionary traditions for the people, especially the young generation to learn and follow.
