Enhance promotion
In recent years, Tuyen Quang province has consistently organized the Year of Tourism as a highlight to promote and boost tourism development. Prior to the opening ceremony, the province selects cities and provinces with tourism potential to host communication conferences. In 2023, Ho Chi Minh City was chosen, and in 2024, Da Nang. These conferences bring together all relevant parties involved in tourism promotion and communication nationwide.
At the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 media conference, the province focused on promoting its potential, strengths, investment attraction policies in tourism, tour routes, tourism products, and upcoming tourism events. The highlight of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 will be the International Hot Air Balloon Festival; the display and introduction of hundreds of booths showcasing traditional craft products; and the announcement of the new tourism product, My Lam Mineral Spring - A Miraculous Source of Water.
According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Investment Promotion Center, in addition to traditional tourism promotion methods such as newspapers, leaflets, brochures, and travel guides, the center has diversified its promotional methods, especially in the era of digital transformation.

National cultural identity is a key element in the province's tourism promotion efforts.
First, we must leverage the speed and mass reach of social media platforms like Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, and TikTok. For example, at the recent media conference, the province invited all these stakeholders to participate, increasing promotion and interaction. Currently, information about Tuyen Quang tourism, such as tourism products, events, tours, accommodations, and restaurants, is updated on the tourism portal at “Mytuyenquang.vn” and on the mobile tourism application called “Tuyen Quang tourism”.
Following a recent tourism survey in the province's districts, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong requested that localities, businesses, and homestay households strengthen tourism promotion through personal fanpages. These personal fanpages can be linked to the province's tourism portal. This will ensure more systematic and effective promotion.
The comrade suggested that, in addition to promoting tourism through influential figures, films, and music, each locality should pay attention to check-in points. However, these check-in points must be carefully selected, have beautiful views, truly be symbols of local tourism, and have a harmonious design that suits the natural landscape. The recent competition organized by the Provincial Youth Union to design check-in models is also a good idea, enhancing tourism promotion efforts.
The province organizes cultural and sports events, festivals, builds Guinness World Records, conducts surveys and visits by delegates, managers, scientists , and travel companies, all of which contribute to promoting tourism. Especially, organizing competitions and selecting and using the province's logo, slogan, and tourism souvenirs in a unified and systematic way creates widespread recognition and brand awareness.
Connect
No province can develop tourism alone; every "game" requires connectivity. Tuyen Quang province recognized this early on. First, it must promote connectivity in transportation infrastructure. Currently, the Phu Tho - Tuyen Quang expressway has been completed and put into use; the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway and the Na Hang - Ba Be road are under construction. Once completed, regional connectivity will be established. Ms. Tran Thu, a tourist from Hanoi, affirmed that traveling to Tuyen Quang on the expressway is now fast, enjoyable, and safe. With about two hours by car, tourists can leisurely have breakfast and coffee in Tuyen Quang.
Regional connectivity will create impressive and diverse tourist routes, said Mr. Le Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. He added that the tourism cooperation program "Through the Heritage Regions of Viet Bac," which includes six provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, and Thai Nguyen, has seen strong and substantive changes, gradually moving towards greater depth.
The mechanism for connection and linkage involves provinces taking turns leading the cooperation group and hosting activities annually. The group of six provinces will meet each year to discuss issues related to regional tourism, with a focus on connectivity. In addition, Tuyen Quang also connects tourism with other provinces and cities nationwide that have strengths and potential in tourism, prioritizing connections with neighboring provinces and tourism products that can complement each other.
The province also collaborates with many large tourism businesses and companies such as Vietravel, Vietjet Air, Hanoitourist, Vietrantour, and the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club. Currently, there are 13 tourism companies operating in the province that are given favorable conditions to function. These companies are regularly invited by the province to participate in tourism promotion and marketing programs. Through this, they can grasp the province's policies, plans, investment strategies, and new tourism products and services, enabling them to connect more effectively and proactively.
According to tourism experts, in the current "take-off" phase of tourism development, promoting and connecting tourism in Tuyen Quang is crucial and key to success.
