Quang Binh has 1 outstanding individual in implementing project 8

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Truong Son commune Nguyen Thi My Duyen (6th from left) is one of 10 individuals honored and rewarded.

After 5 years of implementation, Project 8 has basically completed 4 key contents. The models and activities of Project 8 have had a positive impact, creating a change in awareness, changing the "thinking and working style" of people in particularly difficult communes and villages, contributing to the localities to effectively solve a number of urgent social issues for women and children and promoting gender equality in the Ethnic Minority Region - Central Highlands.

In Quang Binh , the Women's Union at all levels has promoted its advisory role, made efforts to organize and achieve some initial results in the core targets of Project 8. The models and activities implemented have achieved positive results. The organization and implementation of activities according to the plan and targets set annually have been basically completed. The models and activities implemented have been welcomed and supported by the people, initially affecting the lives of women and children in the Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Region, opening up many new development opportunities for each locality to benefit and have been highly appreciated by local Party committees and authorities.

In the coming time, the Vietnam Women's Union will continue to promote its role as a core unit in propaganda and mobilization to raise awareness and change the "thinking and working style" of women and girls in the ethnic minority and mountainous regions; research and propose specific and specific policies to promote gender equality and support the resolution of urgent social issues for women and children in the ethnic minority and mountainous regions in the 2026-2030 program, contributing to realizing the goal of "Leaving no one behind" and successfully implementing the national strategic goal on gender equality in the 2021-2030 period.

At the conference, 20 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 8 were commended and rewarded. Quang Binh was honored to have the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Truong Son Commune ( Quang Ninh ) Nguyen Thi My Duyen as one of the 10 individuals to be commended and rewarded.
